Islam proclaims that all human beings, men and women, are born in a pure state. The goal of every Muslim is to preserve this purity by shunning evil tendencies and beautifying their inner being with virtuous traits. Why Islam? Islam brings comfort to a heavy and lost heart. Islam gives you knowledge. Islam gives structure and routine. Islam gives safety and security. Islam gives you dignity. Islam gives you freedom. Islam gives you peace. Islam gives you the purpose of life. Islam protects you. Islam is mercy. Islam is easy. Islam gives you patience. Islam gives you a connection to your Creator. Because Islam: • Has the Quran. • Has the hadiths. • Has the five daily prayers. • Trusts the plan of Allah and you know things were meant to happen anyway. • Recognizes all the functions, needs and wants of the human being. • Through the hijab and letting go of what people think about you. • by worshipping Allah. • Says: "And I [Alllah] did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me." (51:56) • By obeying Allah subhana wa ta'ala. • Says that Allah is the Most Forgiving, The Most Merciful. • Says if you cannot pray standing, you can pray sitting and if you can't pray sitting pray lying down. • By for example fasting during Ramadan. That's why I chose Islam. Because it gave me all these things and so much more.
