As a relatively new/renewed art institution, the Shepparton Art Museum gave me all the feels I need in such an institution right now… a serious, joyous and provocative retrospective on first nation artist Lin Onus, a smattering of works from various great Australian artists (from Clarice Beckett to Vincent Namatjira) and the joyous colour classification of Australian objects from @ispyid’s nostalgic trip of a collection. Not to mention the wonderful pottery works, including this cleverly detailed piece from Glenn Barkley. Then add a cafe which punches well above its weight and a gift shop that sells far too many enticing pieces well then, you’re on to something of a winner in my books!
