Two years after monsters got locked in the Underground, Sans still struggles to move on. He feels like he can't forget everything that happened, no matter how hard he tries. It doesn't help that his father escaped his trial with no consequences, leaving him to deal alone with the aftermath of what happened.

Maybe karma will give him an exit door to finally start to recover.

After three and a half years, What is best for humankind is completed. I'm so happy I got to share this story with you all guys, especially since this one is special. It's the first long story I wrote for the fandom, in 2019, and this is also the first long story I ended to translate into English.

It definitely gave me the confidence to write in English more, both on AO3 and on Tumblr, and I'm happy you all enjoyed it so much! The French fanfiction fandom feels so empty that I got a little overwhelmed about how many people read it on AO3, it feels like it has a second life.

It won't surprise anyone, but Sans and Papyrus lmao. Equally, really. There's a lot of things to explore with these too, and well, they're not exactly having easy lives either on the blog or on my fanfictions :') A little tour of how it went so far:

Out of the closet: Sans is depressed and having identity crisis.

What is best for humankind: Both Sans and Papyrus are war experiments sent to confront the humans by their own dad.

No Weakness: Well, Undyne is suffering more in that fic, but so far Edge became Captain of the Royal Guard against his will, traumatized Frisk accidentally and almost died in a cave in :D

Remember the good days: Sans has memory loss after a terrorist attack targeting Frisk and a horrible head injury....

Horrortale: Rotten Apple: You read the title, you know already. But yes, so far Sans is considered a traitor, he and Papyrus survived multiple terrorist attacks and their house blew up lol, and Papyrus and Undyne are having a BIG friendship crisis.

A heart in a cage: Well, all monsters are slaves and Papyrus is mistreated :')

And that's just Undertale. I have so many other fandoms, and I can tell you it's pretty much the same.

It's not my fault, since I can't get money out of my stories, I get the tears out of my readers.
