I finished up a mock-up of what an older Tosora would look like! With some other versions too :3
I tried to go for a more grainy/old feeling for this new style I am trying out. Sketchy-like final drawings are ones I have more fun with, and I am happy with how it turned out!
I am planning to have a similar drawing to showcase my other two main characters of my AU Mirror Souls, Cissal and Kloth.

LADLE'S TALE UNDER GROUND
Aka, my Undertale Aqua/Cyan/Light Blue take
This is Ladle, Ladle Patrice Alaïs.
She's smol, tiny, itty bitty, 12 years old, yet hadn't hit their growth spurt.
If you want to ask anything about this goober and their adventure, feel free!
Basis of the main story under the cut, as well as the types of endings...
rather than Toriel leaving Ladle after the tutorial bit in the Ruins, you accompany her and vice versa
she becomes a bit of a party member, and will automatically spare monsters when they're sparable
there are some rooms where she waits for Ladle, leaving them alone for a bit. these are the moments where they can actually kill anyone (if the player wishes to go down that path) (one of these times is also where they lose their Ribbon)
rather than going straight home, Toriel realizes she forgot to get groceries, and Ladle accompanies her to the city of Home while she does so (they also get a new, white Ribbon then)
during that time, Ladle wanders around and finds a small crawl space, overhearing monsters from the forming coup, that they're going to get things going at midnight. Ladle is BARELY noticed by the monsters before they leave back to Toriel, and finally going to her house and spending time with her
they don't want to tell Toriel about what they overheard, but they have an idea when they go to sleep: waking up before midnight, finding a form of self-defense (which happens to be a Toy Knife in the toybox), and going back to where they overheard the monsters, finding them and the tunnel
cue battle(s), probably multiple battles one after the other with the non-mass-murderery routes
after the battle, Ladle realizes they probably shouldn't be carrying a """weapon""" if they're going through the tunnel to King Asgore, so the throw the Toy Knife away, up on a balcony
they go to Asgore, who is literally just waking up, definitely surprised to see a human at his front door, especially one so young
the two of them have a walk-and-talk to the Barrier
once they get there, Asgore admits what he must do, and the two fight
the fight itself isn't winnable, and Ladle dies, with their soul being put in a capsule while Asgore apologizes afterwards
would have 3 main endings, a "new game+" type ending, and 2 extra endings that involve hacking the game to get.
Normal Endings
Patience - don't kill anyone
Endured - somewhere in the middle
Impatient - kill as much as possible
Acceptance - resetting after the Impatient ending, unable to FIGHT as it is grayed out now, play out the game as the Patience ending
all of these endings end with dying to Asgore, regardless
Hacked Endings
Inpatient - hacking your stats to beat Asgore, and since Ladle doesn't know that she would have to absorb his soul, remain stuck in the Underground, staying in the Barrier room, confused about how she managed to gain the power yet have no idea what to do now.
Exception - Acceptance ending, except removing the restriction on FIGHTing and doing the Impatient ending again. This leads to Ladle being confused why she did that just to do it again, finally acknowledging the player's existence, and wondering whether this journey of hers truly has any meaning when someone else is making the choices for them. This is sorta a meta-commentary on prequel games.
Two years after monsters got locked in the Underground, Sans still struggles to move on. He feels like he can't forget everything that happened, no matter how hard he tries. It doesn't help that his father escaped his trial with no consequences, leaving him to deal alone with the aftermath of what happened.
Maybe karma will give him an exit door to finally start to recover.

After three and a half years, What is best for humankind is completed. I'm so happy I got to share this story with you all guys, especially since this one is special. It's the first long story I wrote for the fandom, in 2019, and this is also the first long story I ended to translate into English.
It definitely gave me the confidence to write in English more, both on AO3 and on Tumblr, and I'm happy you all enjoyed it so much! The French fanfiction fandom feels so empty that I got a little overwhelmed about how many people read it on AO3, it feels like it has a second life.

General synopsis:
Long ago, two races ruled over Earth: Humans and Monsters. Religion and fear of differences troubled the fragile peace on which both species were living so far. A war for faith and honor soon engaged between them. Long. Endless.
Sans and Papyrus, two young skeletons brothers, sons of the Royal Scientist, lost everything in the rage of the fighting: their home, their family, their childhood. During a human attack, they suddenly found themselves delivered to bullets and bombs, all alone.
Both of them started a journey in the devastated landscapes of the end of the war to join Mont Ebott, where Monsters are preparing for a last battle. But could two kids survive by themselves in the wild and without any help?
