so now i have to figure out how to write (decent) poetry AGH

i keep doing this. i decided he had a cat. but i do not have a cat. so i use photos of my friends cat LMAO and i mean it works but i also could have easily said he had a dog (because i have a dog)

but i went "ehhhh he gives off Scared Of Dogs Vibes" so now he has a cat

but yeah any and all poetry tips. please. i want them.

so i was thinking.

do we think vampires have ever tried to cook with blood? to try and make something that can sustain them, but still tastes good?

i think it'd be really interesting. like making some kind of blood-marinate to soak meats in? or a blood-sauce?

the main issue i can think of is having to keep the blood from cooking off over heat. some of it probably would anyway, but still.

even then, is it possible to make a meal for a vampire that would actually sustain them, but still taste like actual food and not just blood?

y'all it's music nerd time !!

at least several paragraphs of me talking about spellsong/meridian headcannons under the cut!

my choir recently performed a song with our orchestra, right?

and the best part is, it's called Meridian??? and once they handed us the music and I saw the title I thought Oh My God Redacted Has Infiltrated My Choir.

cuz how insanely cool is that??

and it got me thinking. erik always mentions the spellsong whenever he talks about the meridian and d(a)emons and whatnot.

but! we have no idea what the spellsong actually sounds like.

we have bits and pieces of what the song of death sounds like from Blake's attempt at fighting god, and (i could be wrong?) i think we heard a bit of Huxley's part in it in his non-canon romance audio.

but i personally headcannon the spellsong to sound like this, half because the song is literally named Meridian and also the combination of choir and orchestra fits so perfectly?

like I imagine that the d(a)emons are the orchestral part of the song, especially since the song starts out with roughly two minutes of instrumental orchestra before the choir starts, just like how the d(a)emons were a part of the spellsong long before humans were because they were the first race with magic aside from the sovereigns.

and then the choir are the empowered human's parts of the spellsong because they start later and also it just feels right to me.

i would 100% recommend listening to Meridian at some point because it's genuinely a gorgeous song and I feel like it fits so well, especially with the lysics (which I'll post below for anyone who wants to read them)

it's roughly eight minutes long but my god is it worth it to listen all the way through, this song has a literal chokehold on me at this point because it's just gorgeous and it fits so perfectly.

edit: ALSO i forgot to add this but it changes keys and time signatures and tempos like at least once or twice per page and it was a bitch to learn at first but good lord does it sound fucking awesome ANYWAYS FAREWELL

edit #2: ONE MORE THING guys i promise this is the last one but obvs we know that peoples cores play a certain part of the spellsong right. so what if the person is a musician then it matches up with their preferred instrument too. or like specific types of empowered people have certain affinities for different instruments AND THAT'S THE PART THEY PLAY orrr if they sing then their part in the spellsong just sounds like their voice (aka me) (i'm a tenor) (teehee) OK BYE
