I'm so glad you enjoyed Sublimation, every comment I've received has had me kicking my feet and running in circles, I'm truly floored by the warm reception! I'm pretty wordy on a good day, but I'm starting to find myself a bit speechless in the best of ways haha.

Danse Macabre: A revenant!Nanami x reader folk-y story! Great reading for dark and dreary weather.

Gloaming: Post Shibuya Nanami, where you play the role of his wife, working through the aches and pains of what your relationship has become.

In Vino Veritas: Coworker Nanami sex pollen, with yearning and lots of flowers and just a smidge of botanical body horror. Not as gnarly as it sounds, I promise (or it is, but it doesn't last).

Sigil.: The first chapter of the series (second coming soon!), taking place in the canon universe, working alongside Nanami to put a stop to a series of increasingly concerning curse murders. Basically just your average JJK Tuesday, this one.

Occupational Hazards: Nanami x Higuruma sex pollen, with fighting and feralness and copious bodily fluids and a happy ending in both senses. (Can you guess my favorite trope...?)

Rain Check: A sick fic in which Higuruma takes care of you early on in your relationship, and you, begrudgingly, let him. He also nearly kills you with bad soup.

I hope the recommendations are welcome and that you'll enjoy them, but by all means, go where the wind takes you! I'll jump back on my giant hamster wheel and get back to writing now! Thank you so much again!

hello miss wibs i hope you are doing wonderful, u r now the mayor of higunana nation in my head now, so i bring u a little tidbit to share: higuruma who is too used to putting in too much effort for too little reward, and work bleeding into his personal hours. nanami who does what is needed and nothing more, and has strict boundaries for a healthy work life balance. higunana where nanami has rules for higuruma (d/s dynamic) because being relaxed is something foreign t o him, and nanami doesn't hesitate to punish if the other steps out of line. that includes reading documents after hours, cumming before he's allowed, etc etc.

i hope u can indulge with me in thinking about this because my god.. i think dom nanami with bottom higuruma is a national treasure

Oh wow I've never been a mayor before! Can we build some affordable Higunana nation housing and cut a ribbon with a giant pair of scissors? I've always wanted to do that.

But OKAY I am absolutely walking with you. I always imagined that if they were going to have one repeat argument/pressure point in their relationship, it would be around work and relaxation. Nanami, who is violently territorial of his free time, versus Higuruma who is all too used to giving it away and having none and seemingly being fine with that (couldn't be me, I get bitey when my relaxing time is interrupted).

And if Higuruma's self-sacrificing starts impeding on Nanami's free time as well (they were supposed to stay in and watch a movie, but off Hiromi goes to the office, goodbye! Now Kento's day is ruined) then I bet he'd establish a tight ship.

When you get home, mute your phone. Want to check just one last thing? It can wait until Monday, because we have a spread of breads and cheeses and wine that needs eating and obviously that's more important. No, you aren't allowed to come yet, you need discipline, you will wait.

I think Higuruma would be resistant to that sort of structure at first, he is a grown man, very principled and dedicated and would bristle at the prospect of being ordered about, because he is not a boy and Nanami is not his mother. But he can hardly argue with results when he finds he's sleeping better, the constant dread when his phone vibrates has faded, and he doesn't succumb to self-loathing at his lack of productivity from just sitting on the couch to breathe.

He would acclimate, and he would flourish beside someone who can screw (heh) his head on straight.

I mean, just look at him. Hopeless. He clearly needs a team to get that sorted out. I think we've got what it takes.

I've been feeling the Higunana symbiote taking over again, so maybe I'll write a little something of this sometime soon. Please...keep the yummy thoughts coming. My two favorite men are even better when they're in the same room.

Mwah, hello hello -- it's a little funny, we've fringe known each other for months now and only just started getting to know each other in the last couple of weeks, but it's been so nice and felt so natural! We've got lost time to make up for! 💕

🍓 -- Short answer: forum roleplay!

Longer answer: I did written forum roleplay for over a collective decade. By the tail end before I "retired" from it, I'd come up with some really complex plots and character arcs for my OCs that other people just...couldn't quite fulfil the way I needed. So I'd make side characters for my characters, and side characters for those side characters, until my best RP work was really just a series of one shots of me playing by myself haha. At that point I started to realize I'd more or less graduated. It took another two years or so for me to comfortably post my fanfiction though, but I'm very glad to be here now!

🍄 -- May come as a shocker but...my favorite ship is Higunana, and my favorite headcanon is that they absolutely LOVED each other (even if only platonically) from the very start, or there was a ton of friction to overcome because they're both very similar men but with very different ways of going about their similarities. We know Higuruma can be pretty explosive, but Nanami definitely has a fuse in him too and I think Higuruma sorely tested it (but maybe he kind of liked that).

🏜️ -- Honestly, just people saying they enjoyed it haha. It's still so surreal to me that my writing is something people actually like, especially other writers whose work I really look up to. But the comments that go in depth about exactly what they enjoyed and give a sort of analysis will absolutely have me in SHAMBLES for the rest of the day at least.

🦴 -- My writing is a mosaic of a lot of different things I think. The Haunting of Hill House is a literary masterpiece and I'd give a limb to sit down with Shirley Jackson to talk about it. Brandon Sanderson is great when I'm feeling high fantasy (Mistborn is phenomenal)! But I actually draw a LOT from the band Burn The Ballroom or spoken word musician Hotel Books. Both are very different musically, but their word choices have really influenced my vocabulary and I find myself accidentally yoinking lines of lyrics for my writing from time to time lol.

☁️ -- So, my cousin won a stuffed bear from a claw machine once, and the thing was really messed up. It was missing an arm and an eye, its paws were half stitched on and sideways, and the nose was sewn on upside down. She named it Wibbensnickles (couldn't tell you where SHE got the name from) and gave him to me. Enter my online era where my favorite usernames were so basic and always taken, and I wanted a consistent cross-platform screen name. You know what was never taken ever? Wibbensnickles. So that just devolved to a more palatable "wibben" or "wibs" (with the added bonus of "wibben" sounding like a cutesy pronunciation of "ribbon").

Proof of life check! Tell me you're still with me! What a fucking episode that was. I had high hopes. The art direction of this season has been top notch, and after seeing how Takaba was handled, and then the incredible work done with Yuji meeting Hakari, I was optimistic.

Optimistic and still woefully unprepared for how good Higuruma's episode would actually turn out to be. The weight behind him, the expressions, some panels adapted 1:1, the micro-expressions of care from Higuruma, and (a friend pointed this one out!) the visual focus on feet as a motif for power...I don't think we as Higuruma fans could've asked for more.

I am violently relieved they did him justice, and I think I might actually pass out when we see his fight with Yuji next week.

I've watched this episode four times now. I think today will be filled with much the same. May god have mercy on our souls, because Higuruma Hiromi sure won't.

i was curious about your thoughts on nanageto (nanami x geto). its got me n one of my buddies in a CHOKEHOLD bc the idea of the two emo boys going through villain arcs together is so cute... and theres so much au potential bc gege said at some point early in development, nanami was gonna be a villain and ???? its so. god they would slay.

Thank you SO much, anon! That's extraordinarily high praise, being counted in amongst so many incredibly talented writers. It truly means the world to me, and I'm happy to feed you for years to come! <3 Nanageto is one of those ships I haven't thought about too deeply, but I absolutely do see the vision and the appeal. I dug up the OG Nanami concept you mentioned and it's very Higuruma-esque with him killing his office; though with Nanami in his current form, I feel like he would lack the passion to be a proper villain. He's Mister "where moderate effort will suffice, use moderate effort", so I don't quite think he would strain himself and go out of his way for a grand ideal, unlike the fire we see in Geto.

BUT but but... if the alternate version of Nanami were canon, who's to say what other tweaks may be made to his personality? And with how charismatic Geto is (hello, he has a cult) and the relationship Nanami already had with him, it's not unreasonable that Nanami could've followed him under the right circumstances. There's also this little bit here, where Nanami can't even blame Geto for doing what he did. To some degree Nanami at least understands what drives Geto, and he certainly doesn't condemn him for it. Haibara was a catalyst for them both, and they both dealt with the loss in very different ways.

They both could've had their cute little emo phases together as well.

I would also like to see them both a little bloodied and roughed up, please and thank you. Up to you whether the blood is theirs or not.

I HAVE to point you and your friend over to @yuutaguro for a little dig around, though! They are the strongest Nanageto soldier I know, and their art is adorable and delicious! Please enjoy if you haven't already!
