STEADY  THRUM  OF  HER  HEART    mingles  with  the  soft  melody  of  radio  emanating  through  car’s  speakers  .  and  she  feels  free  ,  she  feels  alight  ,  she  feels  content  .  arm  draped  over  car’s  frame  ,  window  rolled  down  .  the  nippy  breeze  dances  past  her  ,  scarlet  tresses  whip  around  porcelain  countenance  .  for  once  in  her  chaotic  life  ,  there  are  no  aphotic  thoughts  that  plague  her  mind  .  all  she  sees  is  him  in  the  driver’s  seat  with  a  crooked  grin  and  steady  gaze  on  the  open  ,  emptied  road  .  with  a  subtle  push  off  the  seat  ,  her  frame  twists  and  shifts  over  the  gear  changer  so  that  she  can  press  a  kiss  to  the  curve  of  his  jaw  .      ❛      hey  baby  ,  you  gonna  tell  me  where  we’re  goin’  yet  ?      ❜
