he shouldn't be feeling like this way . he had no right to feel jealous . to experience a tightness in his chest as he watched monet kiss another guy . that was well inbounds for their agreement . the wealthy duo were only pretending to date . pretending to be in love with each other , but dante wasn't an actor . it was hard for him to separate his fake feelings for her from the real ones growing for his old classmate . he didn't mean to stare at her , but his eyes were fixed on them . she didn't kiss him like that . however , he needed to understand she didn't have feelings like that towards him . from the moment he ran into her at the mall , all dante wanted was to get to know the woman she'd become . possibly take her somewhere nice , though , with their status , they only went to nice places . his attention was snapped from her to his friend when they wrapped him up in a greeting . and by the time he looked back , monet and the other had disappeared from the corner they had just been in .
