I never thought of that one! I feel like it would start with Mei bringing Amelie presents. Little things. A pair of earrings she thought she’d like, a warm sweater when it starts getting chilly out (because I mean Jesus, Amelie don’t you get cold?), then some warm soup. Then suddenly in battle Mei starts to realize anyone who comes close to her gets shot before she can even make a move. Then it’s Amelie asking her little questions, making small talk in a way she doesn’t tend to with other people (especially not the people she knew before Talon took her), and she realizes that Mei can make her smile and laugh, when she thought she’d forgotten how. And when that happens for the first time, Mei is smitten.
