for where could such be attained

in the world we know through creation?

where in our world can colors be felt

and zephyrs be tasted?

where the elements are alive

and build the ring that embraces soul

we channel the power and the peace

initiate our minds as part of our body

but as free as flight

footsteps muffled from concrete to soil

wailing sirens to singing blackbirds

glaring reflections to dappled shadows

so romanticized the other world

but is it rightly so?

what was the purpose of separation

when so often we desire to return?
