Happy anniversary to my amazing husband or as most of you know him, my assistant. 😉 10 years ago this Wonder Woman married her Superman! In fact, we spent our first Halloween together as Wonder Woman and Superman. So I thought this setting for our new and improved wedding rings was just perfect! And it turns out that the illustration I chose is by Andy's favorite artist! #wifepoints A few years ago I forgot that my wedding ring was in my pants pocket and it didn't quite survive the dryer. 😬 It broke where the outer rings are joined via that vine design. For years I've been wanting to get it fixed but the quotes I was getting were more than we could afford. As for my husband's ring, I was given to us by my mom. She found a local artist near my home town of Bishop, California and we had the artist design and make a ring that depicted the landscape of Mono Lake where my husband proposed. It was the most beautiful most unique ring either of us had ever seen and we were so happy when mom offered to pay for it for us. We both cherished it and we never got the traditional ring picture at our wedding so we never got a good picture of it. Unfortunately, Andy lost it just a few weeks after we lost mom to colon cancer. So this year I was determined to not only get my ring fixed but replace the ring that Andy and I cherished so much! We decided on Tungsten because my dad actually worked in the tungsten mine for a few years when I was a kid. Dad suggested we go to the local jeweler in Bishop and I'm happy to say that thanks to Bishop Jewelers We were able to get my husband a new ring and get mine fixed for about $100 less that anywhere else we had been. Making my 10 year anniversary wish come true! Thanks dad and thanks Armando! I almost cried when I say my ring. It was better than new. (at Redlands, California)
