Missing my Husband is the weirdest thing. He has an outside sales job, so he is on the road maybe 3 days out of the week, sometimes more, sometimes less. Usually, it is a great set up for us. A variety of big and small reasons make up the way a marriage works or doesn’t work. Things like having time to date (not each other, date our auxiliaries) , not sleeping in the same bed all the time and having lots of introvert time seem to be some of our good reasons, right up there with sharing outdoor time and drinking coffee together on Sunday morning. We need time apart and near each other equally. Finding balance continues to be the greatest challenge in my life.

Spoiler Alert: I hate beginnings, and thus mine will inevitably be awkward.
So, hello. Something simple to begin this blog. As far as introductions go, well, what I do is not important, but who I am is. And what I am is a writer, or rather, aspiring writer. Maybe I’m a bit pretentious, maybe my style is awkward and stuffy, but I suppose that just as much as this is an outlet to help me with my actual life, it is also a practice for the possibilities that writing may bring me.
Who I am is very simple. I’m a young woman, new wife, lover, aspiring mother, writer, and if I may be so bold, domestic goddess. Ok, goddess might be a bit excessive, especially for how neurotic I can be. Let’s try demi-goddess, just frayed at the ends. That being said, my life is not without its problems and predicaments. But what I can say for myself is that I love the people I choose for my life.
Let’s introduce you to the main characters familiar to my stage. There’s my husband, who I will usually refer to simply as Hubby. He’s in the army, and thus another large faction of my life is revealed. I will not refer to myself as an army wife simply because there is a lot of negativity attached to that term. But I will continue that rant later. There’s my mom and dad who I handle on a long distance kind of basis. There’s my three younger brothers and one younger sister whom I adore. There’s my grandparents and aunt who are pretty much my major sanity check. Lastly, there are my furbabies, Casper and Macleod, yet another subject that will have its own post.
Now, we are introduced. I can begin the interesting posts, the writings that are relatable, and with any luck, entertaining.
