Anyone who knew Pepper knows she will NEVER show her emotions. (Except when her stress levels ricocheted thanks to Tony's behaviors)

So when one redhead walked through her office door, she could only grab the sides of her chair and swallow hard at the sight. The woman was stunning. As if her body was molded by the greek gods themselves.

Natalie Rushman, was her name. And the way the redhead's name rolled out of her mouth seemed just.. right.

Time proved that the woman was perfect for the position -not only because of her looks, but also for her efficiency in the job- so Pepper could only smile proudly at Maria every time the brunette bugged her about hiring Natalie for just her eyes.

The only problem was when she tried to call the redhead's attention. No matter what her mind come up with, her attempts were futile.

Like that one time when she called the redhead after hours claiming she needed help with the report she had to present the next day. And when Natalie showed up in casual clothes with Chinese food in her hands, Pepper smirked at the possible outcome of that night.

But to her disgrace, the redhead meant business and business only. So to say that night Pepper went home with a bittersweet feeling was an understatement.

And when she found out 'Natalie' was just a façade? Boooooy, did she cursed the redhead from head to toe. In her face.

Yet, she was upset when Natasha stopped going to work for she's gotten so accustomed to the redhead's company. Even if her "flirting" attempts were.. a massive failure, to say the least, Natalia Natasha was always the chivalrous one. Always opening the car's door for her or bringing her morning coffee just like she liked it without having to ask for it.

Natasha, for her part, was thankful for the training she's got in the Red Room. You see, having to assist the CEO of Stark Industries wasn't an easy job. Much less when she could not act on the clear-as-day hints Pepper was constantly giving her.

So when she was finally able to show who she really was, it was as if a 100kg ball was lifted from her shoulders.

Because even if it took a bit for Pepper to forgive her, the blonde wasn't immune to Natasha's qualities. And Natasha was proud of that.

What started as a redemption plan, became a dating one with all the different ideas the redhead came up with, just to make Pepper smile. Even more so when Tony managed -yet again- to bring up the brown-ish monster inside her.

"You know," Pepper commented swallowing her food. "If you had shared with me about Natalie, I would've spent better nights."

"To be totally honest? It was cute seeing you all desperate to call my attention," Natasha giggled as her thumb cleaned the corner of Pepper's lips.

Always being the one to be in control, Pepper inclined her head just the right amount to trap Natasha's finger in her mouth, licking it clean. Never breaking eye contact.

Breathing hard, Natasha leaned down to kiss the blonde. Work could wait.
