Hi! ^^ if it isn't much trouble, could an image description be added to the wij banner? So that users can copy and paste it onto theirs if they want to.

Hi! Was just wondering if it's allowed to write for the prompts / questions before wij officially starts?

You're welcome to do whatever best suits your needs! It would be great if you could schedule your post / refrain from posting until July begins, if that is possible for you! (If not, no worries!) Perhaps you can do some creating now, then keep your works until the event begins to post them?

That way, your posts aren't lost and can be archived and enjoyed during the month! :)

We also provide more detail about each day as they are released, so that may influence what you create for each day.

Do you have a banner we can use in our posts, like in the previous two years?

Here's a specially-made banner you can use if you'd like! You absolutely don't have to, but hopefully this helps distinguish the posts from the prompts!

when tagging for single-digit days, should the tag be like "#wijday1" or "#wijday01"?

Great question! It should be just #wij23day1 . Then, use double digits once the days become double digits, such as #wij23day24.

The tags for each day and reminders will be posted on each prompt, no worries!

We use the same tags each year but with a different year number (wij21, wij22, wij23), so it's easy to go back and see all the cool posts from previous years!

What does the "(No longer doing as of 2023 event)" note in the bio refer to?

Hi! We used to reblog every post people made when participating in this event if they tagged us, but we won't be doing that this year. This blog will remain as just a place to find the prompts and information, but people will be able to find participants' posts by going to the tags (if they've tagged their posts correctly!). I've explained it in the pinned post with the prompts list for this year! That way, it's hopefully a bit easier to find all the prompts, and easier to see everyone's works. Each post for each day of the event will have the tags listed for you to use (there are two for each day) so that people can easily search for new content they want to interact with!

Am I crazy or does WIJ seem to be a day ahead of itself

WIJ always posts one day in advance at midnight EST to give folks time to prepare a post. WIJ participants are all over the world, so we'd rather post when it seems early to some than late.

I have a question about day 2. What's the recommended way to put together a mood board? I'm concerned about giving proper credit to the original artist. Linking below to the original still feels reposty, and reblogging a bunch of images to attach the wij tag doesn't feel like a mood board.

That's totally up to you! Perhaps you could check with the artists to see their recommendations about giving credit, as many artists have information on their pages about how to properly love their work. A set of images in rows, perhaps as a 3x3 seems to format well here on Tumblr.

We would recommend that you check out some whump moodboards already floating around Tumblr to get a feel for what would work best for you and the artists whose work you're pulling.
