July 8th, 1968: The Chrysler wildcat strike begins in Detroit, Michigan, United States. Part of the Dodge Revolutionary Union Movement (DRUM), a coalition of African-American workers, seeking concessions from Chrysler management and from the United Auto Workers.

A wildcat strike is a strike taken by union workers without approval or union leadership.
