what should piss you off most about covid is how the world is totally capable of giving a shit (commemorating essential workers, enforcing social protocols to protect already vulnerable, sacrificing personal conveniences in the name of collective well being) when the average american is presumed to be at risk.

but when they realized that the majority isn't affected and the crippled, elderly, immunocompromised, and physically disabled are hit the hardest that is when everything went back to normal and people stopped giving a fuck. as if we all don't know at least one person who lives that reality.

but as long as it doesn't disturb their personal convenience and disrupt their usual rhythm/way of living they wont and will never care!!!!!

The market-based value of activities/labor is wrong and unjust.

Workers who are labeled essential during a pandemic are underpaid. If the economy can not function without them, we must re-evaluate their wages and their importance.

"This Dominos in San Antonio. People are working around the clock during this duel crisis of coronavirus and massive power outage. They had a weekend worth of food and it was gone within 4 hours. This team helped those that needed help. These are the essential workers that need recognition. They were the only place open in their community that was open. Every pizza place was closed but dominos stayed open to help those in need. Don’t let me ever, ever, ever hear you say these people don’t deserve a living wage. Swear to GOD don’t let me hear you say it!!"
