Studio: A Hand Drawn Feast - Marcella Kriebel at Wild Hand Workspace
In my world July came and went in the simple click of a camera shutter.
This week I began to play catch-up and start reviewing all of the amazing projects I've gotten to work on, people I've met and plans that were made and are starting to come to fruition. One of the wonderful projects that I worked on was hosting artist Marcella Kriebel at my studio, Wild Hand Workspace.
One of the main goals I had for the studio was to provide an accessible space for artists to show their work, conduct workshops and still come out the event having made put a few dollars in their pocket.
Marcella, being an incredibly talented artist and good friend, is exactly the type of artist I like to work with. Having challenged herself to make 365 straight days of original artwork centered around food, Marcella displayed a selection of her original work alongside prints and her cookbook, Mi Comida Latina.
The show was beautiful, she sold a bounty of work and creatives from all corners of the DC community came by to connect and view Marcella's work. I even managed to snag my own print from the event- because my new apartment walls aren't going to decorate themselves!
A huge thank you to Marcella for showing her beautiful work at Wild Hand, Taffy Floral for the gorgeous edible arrangement she provided (ps- she's hosting a workshop at the studio this weekend!) and Dos Equis for providing the libations.
