Not the best pics, but my male snakehead betta is finally getting some color! He'd been getting frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, and live earthworms on occasion, but he only showed color when eating. Some breeders recommended feeding live blackworm, and it seems to be helping!
I have been slowly losing chili rasbora in the blackwater tank over the past couple months. I've been monitoring water parameters, so I assumed it was just a fluke illness or bad breeding. But this morning I caught my male channoides eating one whole. THEY ARE HALF HIS SIZE. Props to him for tenacity, at least. Needless to say, I'm going to do some rearranging today. The channoides pair will probably be in Rocket's 10. This will probably work better for breeding purposes, but ugh. Time for a re-scape and a deep clean.
