Wild Willy's Hot Springs, near Mammoth Lakes, California, November 2021 The next hot spring I decided to check out was Wild Willy’s which seems to be the most popular one as the dirt road to get there was a bit more developed, there was a much bigger parking lot with a portapotty, more signage, and even a boardwalk/paved trail to get to the pools. There were definitely more people (when I arrived a bachelorette party was just leaving haha) but also the pool was definitely bigger as well. I ended up meeting more people and making some new friends, including @colinbrauns who is from Cambridge, MA (we ended up traveling together for 1.5 weeks since he was headed to Portland and I was headed to eastern Washington), @lifeofchaii and @bevunsupervised who I joined on a hike to the Crowley Lake Columns, and @__xoxokat__ and her group who graciously shared her bottle of titos with everyone lol. It was a great time with great vibes and great people! I had such a great time I didn’t end up checking out the other hot springs and decided to stay at Wild Willy’s another day.
