I'm sincerely besotted with this illustration of Chapter 39 of 'The Last Will and Testament of Cazador Szarr.'
It was drawn by almightyjanitor and the amount of softness and care that went into it is staggering to me. All of the details included provide the context of the story--there's the broken belt fastening where the book-shaped bag of holding used to be, the tattered edge of Dekarios' robe that's evidence of his too-close encounters with the spawn, his very slight claws that he is being very careful with, and the hazy impression of the cave he just left, out of focus because it's so much less important than the reunion in the foreground, but still looming in the background. Always present.
And just. The hug. Is so. Good.
