For Wesker’s post RE5 condition, Will’s note on the strain he had been given, will be doing some heavy lifting, particularly this bit
Which is how he survives his lava dip, with the virus reconstructing him over a (very long) period of time.
However, the director of the game has said that with the amount of uroboros he took in, he wouldn’t have ‘won’ even if he had killed Chris and Sheva, which I am going to adapt as it permanently wrecking his body.
Uroboros devours the tissue to absorb it into itself and adds it to its mass. The way it’s going to work between Wesker’s t-strain and uroboros, in my portrayal, is that the t-strain is healing him quicker than uroboros is killing him, so essentially, he is alive merely due to the persevering healing factor.
However, t-strains always had a glaring problem of mental deterioration that could be instant or gradual. Even if his body can keep regenerating endlessly, in theory, his mind could easily keep deteriorating, because brains are affected by a lot of complex factors that I don’t think the virus could, or was even ever meant to account for.
So, in present day, he has come to a realisation that his body could, in theory, be immortal, but he, as an individual, likely is not, and he will die, at some point, even if he lives on as another mindless tyrant.
