i’d really like to hear more about “what if?” it sounds so interesting!

If you've read Bad Trip, you know that Rowan's pre-Hope life was not much fun. @the-lastcall wrote a bit about "what if, in that universe, Will was Rowan's kid sister?" and I liked the concept and we both got very excited about it, and it just started 3 days ago!

It starts long before Rowan (or Will) gets a berth on the Hope. Rowan got kicked out at 19, has spent the next couple decades in canon-to-Bad-Trip rotten circumstances, and has no idea that his mother had another kid, Willow, who is now 16 to Rowan's 38. Their mom dies and Rowan is contacted as being the only known living relative of this minor, and can he become her guardian. Rowan is barely making ends meet as it is, but he says yes because he knows what it's like to be alone in the world, and maybe he can make it a little better for Willow.

So they've only just met, and have a lot to figure out, since they're complete strangers of very different ages even though they're also half-siblings. Will things go okay for them? How much angst and whump might happen? Assuming they both somehow get on the Hope, which one gets thawed on the other end? We don't know yet!

Orion did the unthinkable last night and released the very thing she is so terrified of upon the world. Fissure site prime is down. She's done her part and is never going to touch another one of these ever again.

She had a LOT of help from Will (@the-lastcall) and could not have done it without her! She also got a huge help from Willow (@the-laridian ) in the first section with all the bots. She most certainly would have been shot up to nothing without him.

Will is clearly much more excited about this whole bomb thing then Orion is lol

We've also got power armour all figured out and put together! After the death silo situation, but hey, better late than never, right?

28: Your most dangerous OC? Probably Gunnar. He's smart, articulate, charismatic, and can be ruthless when he wants to be. Most of the time he doesn't want to be. But when he does… (whether this ruthlessness stems from the botched execution is a good question)

36: Do you have OC pairs where the other part belongs to someone else (siblings, lovers, friends etc)? HMMMM I wonder if this was chosen for a specific OC in mind… :P @the-lastcall and I have quite a few of these! The most obvious is Rowan Dane (mine) and Will(ow) Dane (LC's), who, because of a running gag in our post-Bad Trip crossover novel, ended up siblings in every dingdang AU ever since. FNV? 1960s? Farm? Mob? Other FNV? Yep, siblings. Sometimes Rowan is a little older (Fallout 76, Farm, 1960s) and sometimes they're twins (FNV AUs in particular).

Our other, FNV, OCs end up lovers a lot, too. Then there's Raider AU which has its own thing going on. So, yeah, lots of that. :)
