Will Feral
she was a girl wearing "forbidden" plastic clothing, he was a dangerous crow boy whose job it was to destroy plastic. can i make it any more obvious?
Such a favorite 😹
the fog rests at the edge of the woods this morning. it’s the first cool day of autumn, and my hummingbird friends are busy loading up on sugar water- taking their leave without a goodbye or backward glance. i noticed a decrease in their ranks yesterday and wondered what the trigger was for their journey home. some mutual mind, moving in mass. some unseen signal sounding out the call- the exodus. the self appointed ruler of the porch (cat) has been gone for nearly a week now. i let him out pre-dawn to sit with me, as is our routine, and he wandered away at some point. off into the trees and into thin air... gone. i find myself mourning a cat that i didn’t want in the first place. a cat that forced himself into my space, and made me admire him by being a bigger pain in the ass than i am. i hope he’s ok. i hope he has a warm place to sleep.
Will Feral
My Mom found a Feral kitten and had my Dad take him to the vet for a checkup. Mom didn't name the kitten because she didn't want to get too attached to him. So when my dad got to the vet, the tech called out for the owner of "Feral? Feral Kitten?" When he responded she asked my dad for a real name, my dad said: "Well Obviously his name has to be Will."
This stray cat has been terrified of people for years. Less than 2 weeks of showing him love and he's turning into a big lovey baby. Soon I'll be able to find him a forever home!
