Landing back in Honolulu, Steve headed back to his house to freshen up before heading to the Five-0 headquarters. Meanwhile at the headquarters, everyone on the team found some interesting news.
“There’s no way that’s him,” Steve heard Tani say as he walked into the office.
“Come on, the way the driver drives in this video,” Danny laughed. “It is Steve.”
“Who’s me?” Steve walked up to the group.
“They’re questioning if the driver in this video is you,” Lou said as he handed Steve the box of malasadas from Leonard’s.
Junior rewound Y/N L/N’s most recent music video “2 hands” which she released a few days ago. With Steve watching the video, everyone else was watching for any signs of him reacting to their hypothesis.
“That’s not me,” Steve answered as the video finished. “Impressive he could drive like that through the streets of San Francisco though.”
“Okay explain this then,” Tani froze on the frame where ‘Steve’ and Y/N torsos were in the frame.
‘Steve’s’ arms flexed as his hands went up and down her waist as Y/N’s back was against the kitchen counter. The two were having an intimate moment together to sell the story.
“We’ve all seen your arms many times,” Tani explained while everyone else nodded. “His arm in the frame is the same as yours.”
Shaking his head at the theories his co-workers and friends were making, he was saved by the bell with my phone ringing saying they had a case.
After a long day finding suspects and witnesses, Steve pulled up to the house and walked in to see Eddie greeting him. Well more like attacking him with kisses as Eddie jumped on him in excitement. Kicking off his shoes, Steve walked over and collapsed on the couch with Eddie.
“You’re back,” Steve looked over to see Y/N leaning against one of the walls.
“Hey,” Steve smiled softly at her and opened his arms.
Chuckling, Y/N walked over to her boyfriend and cuddled him. They pulled up an episode of Parks and Recs in the background as they talked about their days. Steve brought up the topic of everyone at Five-0 thinking Steve was in her music video.
“I mean, they’re not wrong,” Y/N shrugged her shoulders and rubbed his arm. “Look, I get your job and how you’re a private person. It would be nice though if your friends know about us.”
Before Steve could open his mouth, the couple watched as Eddie got up from their laps and headed over to the door as they saw it open.
“Steve! I have proved-” Danny stopped in his step as he saw his partner and Y/N cuddling on the couch. “I think my point has been proven.”
“What are you doing here?” Steve asked.
“To prove my point about you,” Danny pointed at Steve. “Being in her video but this is so much better.”
“Hi, you must be Danny,” Y/N walked up to Danny with her hand out. “It’s finally nice to place a face to the name. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you too,” Danny shook her hand. “Do you know how much of a lunatic your boyfriend is?”
“Oh after dating him for five months, I know,” Y/N chuckled. “He was pretty good drifting through the streets of San Fran though.”
“I knew it,” Danny snapped his fingers. “Oh I can’t wait to tell everyone tomorrow.”
“Well don’t yet,” Steve stopped him. “Nobody knows we’re dating. You’re the first person who found out other than her manager and my sister. Chin and Abby might have an inkling.”
“Look, if you’re mad, blame me,” Y/N stepped in which caused Steve and Danny to look at her weirdly. “I was the one who wanted to keep this a secret.”
“Woah, I’m not mad at you,” Danny chuckled. “I’m just surprised Steve managed to date someone that’s not military. Look, it’s getting late but if you’re comfortable, stop by the headquarters. Everyone would love to meet you.”
“I have time before soundcheck. I’ll stop by and I’ll add you guys to the guest list,” Y/N replied.
“Alright, I’ll see you two tomorrow,” Danny said goodbye to them.
Reciprocating back, Steve closed the door while Y/N went upstairs to get ready for the night. Taking Eddie out to use the bathroom one last time, Steve brought Eddie back into the house and they headed up to Steve’s room.
“Hi my love,” Y/N gave Eddie a bunch of scratches and kisses.
“So, you’re meeting everyone at Five-0,” Steve said as he got into bed. “Excited?”
“Danny’s pretty nice so I’m pretty excited,” Y/N snuggled up to him.
Turning off the lights in the room, Y/N and Steve drifted off to sleep.
“Babe, everything is going to be fine,” Steve calmed Y/N down by wrapping her in a hug as they waited for the malasadas they ordered. “They’re gonna like you. I mean Danny already likes you.”
“He likes me because he found out you were in my music video,” Y/N looked at him.
“Look, just be yourself and everyone will like you,” Steve reassured her as soon as they heard their order number. “Come on, let’s get these malasadas and head to the office.”
Nodding her head, Y/N headed back to the truck while Steve picked up the treats. As soon as Steve got back to the truck, they made their way over to Five-0 where everyone was waiting for Steve. Steve did get some looks wondering why he was holding hands with someone who looked like Grammy Award-nominated Y/N L/N.
As they walked into the office, everyone was standing around the table chatting with each other. Y/N let Eddie off of his leash so he could greet everyone. Noticing Eddie greeting them meant that Steve was in. Everyone turned their heads and their eyes- minus Danny’s- widened as they saw who was standing next to Steve.
“Um, why is Y/N L/N here?” Tani asked, trying not to fangirl.
“Everyone, meet Y/N, my girlfriend,” Steve introduced Y/N to everyone.
“Hi,” Y/N waved to everyone. “It’s nice to meet you.”
“It’s nice to meet you too,” Lou walked up to them. “Lou Grover.”
After everyone introduced themselves, everyone wondered how Steve and Y/N. It all started when Mary texted her brother a number of a girl she thought he would like. Steve agreed to text her so Mary could get off of his back and text soon turned into late-night phone calls then soon turned to additional weekly Skype calls. After two months of talking to each other, Steve and Y/N decided to meet in Colorado since she was recording her latest studio album there. After spending the week together, they both knew they wanted to be together. Once Steve headed back to Hawaii, the calls and texts continued until Steve and Y/N met again in San Fransico. They wanted to keep their relationship a secret before revealing it to their friends and family.
“Well, we now know the cause of him constantly smiling at his phone,” Tani chuckled.
“Well I’m glad to be of service,” Y/N chuckled and looked at the time on her phone. “I need to go to the venue right now. Soundcheck is in forty minutes and my manager is wondering where I’m at. It’s nice to finally meet you all.”
“The same to you,” Lou and everyone else smiled.
After giving Eddie a bunch of scratches and kisses, Y/N got up from the floor and wrapped her arms around Steve.
“And I’ll see you later tonight,” Y/N leaned in and kissed his lips. “I reserved tickets for you and everyone.”
Saying goodbye to everyone again, Y/N left the palace and headed to the venue.
After running around the island to arrest their perp, everyone in Five 0 returned to their places to freshen up for the concert. Picking Danny and Grace up at Danny’s place, Steve drove them to the venue to see everyone from Five 0 waiting. Heading up to the ticket booth, Steve grabbed the tickets that were reserved for them and headed to the backstage entrance. Being led to one of the rooms in the venue, everyone waited for Y/N to come.
“Hi,” Y/N greeted everyone. “You must be Will and Grace. Your dads talked about you a lot when I met them earlier.”
“Nothing too embarrassing right?” Grace chuckled.
“Nothing too embarrassing,” Y/N reassured the detective’s daughter.
“I have a question,” Danny grabbed Y/N’s attention. “How did you get this neanderthal in your music video?”
“Let’s just say he’s easy to convince,” Y/N winked at Steve. “Just with the right method.”
At that moment, Steve choked on his drink and excused himself as he started coughing. As he left, everyone laughed at the reaction Steve had.
“I’m just joking,” Y/N laughed. “Our trips to San Fransico lined up perfectly and so I just asked him.”
Returning to the room, Steve greeted Y/N with a kiss on the cheek and wrapped his arm around her waist. Y/N got to know everyone at Five-0 more until she had to leave to prepare. Saying goodbye to everyone again, Y/N rushed over to the green room since she only had fifteen minutes to get ready.
Meanwhile, everyone was led to the VIP area where drinks and food were provided. As soon as the lights dimmed, cheers roared throughout the venue indicating Y/N was coming on stage soon. The backing track to Think Later played through the speakers as Y/N came onto the stage with her backup dancers. Immediately everyone was in awe as they watched her perform on stage, especially Steve. It was the first time he saw his girlfriend perform and she is amazing.
Looking over at his partner, Danny had a smile on his face seeing Steve’s reaction to Y/N’s performance. He quickly snapped a few pictures of Steve’s face before returning to record clips of the concert for and of Grace.
As she performed, Y/N glanced at the VIP area near the stage to see her boyfriend and friends dancing to her music. After finishing the last song, she quickly headed off stage to do a quick change for the next act.
“Good evening Honolulu,” Y/N walked on stage in a short glittery two-piece dress. “How are we doing so far?”
Everyone in the audience cheered in response.
“That’s good,” she smiled and looked at the crowd, making eye contact with Steve. “There’s so many attractive people here tonight and I think I just found the love of my life here tonight. Girls, come here.”
Two of her backup dancers joined her on stage and looked where Y/N was looking.
“I know, he’s so attractive,” Y/N giggled as the screens in the venue showed Steve’s face as the flashing red and blue police lights and sirens played.
Everyone in Five-0 cheered and laughed for Steve as he blushed.
“What’s your name?” Y/N asked.
“Steve,” Steve answered.
“Steve? That’s so funny because my psychic told me an attractive man named Steve would come into my life,” Y/N blushed. “What do you do for a living?”
“That’s classified,” Steve winked making Y/N blush harder.
“Well then, you’re under arrest for being too attractive,” Y/N dangled the pink fuzzy handcuffs. “I think you’ll tell me what you do now.”
Everyone especially Danny was enjoying how flustered Steve looked during the bit. Everyone laughed harder as the handcuffs were handed to Steve as Y/N Juno. After calming down from the bit, everyone watched Y/N perform.
“We have reached the end of the concert and it is the last day of the tour,” Y/N frowned. “I just want to thank you all for coming here and I’ll see you all next time. This is 2 hands.”
Just like every performance of 2 hands, Y/N put all of her remaining energy into performing. Since Steve was in the audience and they filmed the music video together, the energy was multiplied. Y/N also walked towards Steve as she sang the pre-chorus. Giving him a wink, Y/N headed back to the center of the stage to do the dance break. The song soon ended and Y/N and her dancers got together and bowed thanking everyone for coming. Getting off stage, Y/N, her dancers, and band all got together in a group hug.
“You were amazing,” Steve complimented Y/N as she leaped into Steve’s arms.
“We would like to thank you for embarrassing Steven over here,” Danny grinned as he patted Steve’s shoulders.
“We’ve never seen him this flustered,” Junior and Tani laughed.
“You are so welcome,” Y/N bowed.
“You know we just witnessed their relationship being hard launched right?” Grace pointed out.
“Oh god,” Y/N groaned. “Management is gonna be on my ass.”
“And we are going to worry about that tomorrow,” Steve kissed her temple. “Now, let’s go home.”
“And we can test out those handcuffs,” Steve whispered in her ear.
Nodding her head and blushing, she thanked everyone for coming before heading back to her green room to get her bags. Everyone at Five-0 left leaving Steve behind waiting for Y/N to come back. After waiting for fifteen minutes, Y/N soon came back and they headed back home where Eddie was waiting for them. After bringing Eddie back into the house once he finished using the bathroom, Y/N smirked and dangled the handcuffs in front of Steve. Smirking, Steve quickly took off his shirt, picked up Y/N, and carried her to their room.
