guys i have rewatched the s3 finale so many times and people are saying will drags them off the cliff—WRONG. hannibal lets his knees buckle and then they fall. he lets himself fall and will lets himself fall with him and if that’s not the biggest metaphor for hannigram ive ever seen. when in any of the seasons have we seen hannibal let himself be weak except for when he’s showing himself to will?

Genuinely tweaking someone on tiktok just said “everything Lecter touches rots.” And I’m trying not to go on a rant about unfair and two dimensional that characterization and analysis is especially when my tiktok was about how Will was responsible for his actions and had obviously previously shown an affinity for darkness for his baseline impression to be instability by his coworkers. Hannibal is so much more than that sentence. The same could be said of Will if we are being unfair. If we look at collateral and the price of Will’s attention and love almost primarily being death and destruction and his severe lack of taking accountability for those actions
My fav thing to do when people ask me what I’m reading is to take whatever deplorable mlm angst clutch your pearls shit I’m reading and make it sound like a run of the mill romance novel.

Sometimes I have to shut myself up because I’ll see someone be like “the fall was a metaphor they died that night” and I have to stop myself from going on a rant about how will and Hannibal aren’t bound by normal physics or physical laws and the entirety of the show was working to prove that over and over. Their love and violence aren’t acts of god or the devil it’s entirely them and and their own game and chessboard so yeah they survived a fall off a cliff because they survived a gutting in a kitchen and Mason and every other number of things so YEAH IT WAS MERAPHORICAL BUT ALSO LITERAL AND—
