WHOA YOUR THEME. WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT. umm, favorite novel The Man has forced you to read, or like, one that you thought you'd hate but didn't?

i just changed it!!!

i had to read a separate peace freshman year of high school and absolutely loved it. the friendship between gene and finny and the complexities of it and how gene hated finny and wanted to be like finny and loved finny and probably wanted to make out with finny (#confirmed) and just. i loved it a lot and it’s one of my favorites. 

i also read their eyes were watching god in high school, and i love it a lot. the various descriptions and themes — obviously religion, but also nature and light/dark and janie’s hair and clothes — are constant throughout and add so much. hurston’s writing is beautiful. also i just love janie and her journey and how much she learns and grows. 

aaaaaaand i read mrs. dalloway for school and just like. ALL THE LADIES IN IT FOREVER THANKS. plus academia introduced to me willie shakespeare, the love of my life. so. lots of things!
