i need to show y’all my vintage photos collection. have been collecting for like 3-4 yrs now. i usually collect 1960s-older but 1800s are my favorite and cartes de viste are my absolute fave. i also collect old post cards
i have some from sweden and finland, lots from singapore and china, some from greece, one from spain. also from texas, montana, minnesota, and new york.
i have one i kind of splurged on that is of vaqueiros. it appears to be an ethnographic photo and it is taken of vaqueiros with their cattle in vaqueiro territory, it’s unlikely the vaqueiro family ever owned the photo, probably belonged to the photographer or a collecter. am happy as a vaqueiro to have it now. i have no photos of my vaqueiro family who came directly from spain except one after they came to america. i have all my collection with me except this one bc it was oversized and didnt fit with the others :( will have to see if i have scanned it or taken a photo of it
also have what i believe is an original photo of a pretty popular ghost town, i havent been able to find the photo anywhere online!
but i am unable to be removed from antique and junk stores for i will sit on the floor for hours and go through stacks of photos and postcards. going to canton monday flea market in about a week or 2 and i am extremely excited. hope 2 get a lot of photos and also stuff for my new room.
