Gabriel opened his eyes taking in the unfamiliar surroundings. He was lying on the bottom bunk inside a child’s room. He brought a hand up to inspect his aching head. His eye was hot to the t…
It’s been a while since I updated my TS3 stories. I’m working on what I can do different to get things going again with these. There will be changes going into the next generation. Trying to make things smaller more manageable. One thing will be smaller chapters like the way I’ve been doing for my TS4 stories. If you’re reading The Van Winkle Legacy this chapter is important to what’s going to be happening next in that story; especially the part dealing with Brie. I’ll have it queued starting tomorrow. If you want to read it now just go to my WP Blog.

In the past you’ve talked about taking the audience through a threshold so to speak, or on a journey with Whitehouse and then what happens after that is not up to you, it’s up to them. Yeah, well although it kind of sounds creepy, metaphorically speaking I say this, but that’s only because this is how I like my own experiences to be. I’m a big fan of Ingmar Bergman’s films and that’s how I feel if I see a great Bergman film. For me, it’s like wandering around the countryside and you see some woods. And you don’t know where you are when a perfectly friendly stranger comes up to you and offers his hand to take you into the woods and says there’s something wonderful in there. The question is, do you go with him or do you think, “Oh that might be a bit dangerous, I don’t know this person, I don’t know what might be in the woods.” My instinct is to take that guy’s hand and to go into the woods, but not everybody feels comfortable about that. I want my music to be that hand.
Cut Hands Has the Solution: An interview with William Bennett
An elementary school that treats the arts as the province of a few gifted children, or views them only as recreation and entertainment, is a school that needs an infusion of soul. That arts are an essential element of education, just like reading, writing, and arithmetic.

So so so so so so many things to say about Episode 78.
I’m STILL not over it. I can’t believe how MUCH I felt when I watched it. It felt like reading P&P all over again…
First off, Ashley played Lizzie in this episode so perfectly that I can’t even begin to decide where to start. The most SWOONWORTHY little moment is just before Darcy says “I hope you’ve enjoyed your stay” and Lizzie’s eyes are EVERYWHERE. I mean, good GOD. How completely sweet is that? She’s still quite clueless herself and clearly burying some confusing feelings but her little subtle reactions are SO LOVELY. She’s much softer in this episode, more open in a way because her emotions are written all over her face… compared to when Gigi plonks her down in the chair ‘cause it is SO perfectly Lizzie that I laugh every time. It screams “oh my god, help”. It’s such a contrast to her COMPLETELY ADORABLE “Anyway, I have to go!”. It all gets a little too much with the whole eye contact, longing stares and all… *dies* It was all a little too much for me but Ashley was so wonderfully Elizabeth Bennet in every way I imagine her to be in this episode.
Another thing I LOVEd about Ep78 was how Lizzie’s vulnerability is brought out in her interactions with Darcy. On a day to day basis, she’s strong, opinionated and independent with such a feisty and witty side to her that she has clearly learned to keep people (except for Jane and Charlotte - but even them to some extent) at arms length. BUT what we must all remember about Lizzie is that she’s also so soft on the inside and it is something bout Elizabeth Bennet as a character that I’ve always identified with.
She WANTS love but she wants it properly, the whole hearted, head over heels, grand but genuine love. She doesn’t want it for practical reasons or because it’s offered or because she maybe gets a bit lonely sometimes. That’s something to be admired, I think. So yes, I love her. I say it too often.
Plus, Darcy is a challenge she doesn’t even know she wants until he’s there and he’s infuriating and maddeningly addictive because she’s never met anyone like him before and as soon as these feelings develop we get to see her vulnerable side, the side that makes her feel a little awkward and stutter and pat arms adorably. Someone she judged quickly, someone she didn’t like that much when she met him, someone who isn’t at all the person she’d expect to like has somehow got under her skin and has made an impression on her and I think she finds it terrifying but no way is she going to let it show. She’s fierce - always!
But enough about Lizzie because then we have Darcy!!
Can I just ask how it is possible for Daniel to become even MORE handsome? I feel like he embodies the quiet charm and contained ways of William Darcy. He’s so brilliant and, just GOD… so handsome.
My heart almost melted with his little “oh please let me spend more time with you i’ll even drive you around if you’d like” moment. He’s so sure he wants to be around her and so encouraged for a little moment but so DAMNED understanding when she says no. He just accepts it. He knows that he’s made mistakes and that Lizzie has had mixed feelings about him in the past and he accepts it. I mean, that’s something SO rare. He’s also SO COMPLETELY ADORABLY shy and clueless faced with the vibrancy and strength of Lizzie but we all know she’s got a much squishier side and I love that he got to see her floundering a bit and was just utterly charmed by her and COULDN’T.STOP.STARING.
The awkwardness was just perfection, the speaking over each other, the overly long eye contact, the not wanting to look at each other too… EVERYTHING was so wonderful and then it ends with Lizzie just not being able to just say goodbye without SOMETHING and, of course, the quirky Ms Bennet decides that the moment is worthy of brief physical contact…
Which I’m sure Darcy spends the rest of eternity cherishing.
Now I’m off to swoon some more :) :)
