Howdy, this is my very first post on Tumblr, I wanted to start posting my artworks and all my passions here! These are the most hilarious and legendary bandits in the whole West! The Dalton brothers from the Lucky Luke comics! I am so lucky to be hyperfixated with them since I was 8 years old, they are my source of inspiration and joy, my comfort characters.

This pictures portrays them from the animated movie Daisy Town (1971) in my favorite scene of all: the duel with Lucky Luke, that scene made me fall in love with the western genre, it's History and aesthetic.

I hope you are going to appreciate this humble fanart of them <3

"-In my preceding Lucky Luke album, I've drawn the entirety of the Joss Jamon's gang , characterizing them "à la Morris" but animating them in a semi-realistic way. It freed me for the Daltons, whom I didn't think I'd be able to use in my albums. Joe and his brothers will of course generate quite a few comical situations, which will undoubtedly remind you of those in "The Daltons in the blizzard", thanks to the Canadian setting. However I'm going to remind everyone they're still dangerous criminals, not to take lightly..."

Is this a safe space to admit I don't like The Daltons series?

It's not offensive by any means, but it's just not my cup of tea. I'm not really a fan of how the daltons are written in it, they weirdly feel dumbed down? And this is a nitpick, but I don't looove the art style either.. The animation is very nice, though.

That being said, liking it is totally fine!! I see the appeal of it, and I used to like it a lot when I was younger. I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority here😭
