TODAY IN GINNY - William Forrest
William Forrest (1902) had a long career in character parts, his longest running was as Major Swanson on THE ADVENTURES OF RIN TIN TIN. He played a banker in ONE-EYED JACKS, Mr. Baldwin in THE BACHELOR AND THE BOBBY SOXER, and a lot of uniformed men and lawyers in other features. He was the naval station officer Ginny talks to when Bill's caught in the storm in BARNACLE BILL (1941). BTW, his grandson Robert Hayes is a cinematographer working on a Disney TV series, ZEKE AND LUTHER.
