William Gomis takes the decision over Robert Ruchala.

Fun fight! If you just force Gomis to fight aggressive fighters, you can drag good fights out of him.

The sharpshooting of Gomis manages to outlast the pressure and wrestling of Ruchala. I liked what Ruchala was trying to do. Throw enough in combination to force Gomis to exchange with him and then turn those into body lock takedowns. Worked well enough in the first two rounds though Gomis managed to get to his feet in the first. And at range, Gomis was the smoother operator. Punishing body kicks and long rangy rear hands out of the open stance match up. Ruchala managed to hurt Gomis with a head kick in the 3rd but fumbled the effort as Gomis landed a big crushing rear hand as they exchanged moments later.
