I know this show is not supposed to always have a solid continuity but there are so many story elements that the writers set up with these characters, it could lead to more interesting episode ideas.

Willie’s family and Scottish heritage

Barbara Van Horne! Remember her! They mention her name so many times throughout the series but she only has one or two appearances!!

If The Simpsons really are going to run past 100 seasons, at least utilize unique character interactions more.
