-In London, United Kingdom.-
When every one of them is giving up or giving in?
Nothing ever comes without a consequence or cost, tell me.
The silhouette of the woman emerged from the darkness as she closed door behind her. Her head bobbing up and down with every step she took. Headphones plugged in as she tuned the world she loved and hated, out. The keys jingled.
A small keychain swayed side to side. A marble ball which looked like it had a universe inside it but was almost weightless. Small silver coloured stars and moons surrounding it in a protective yet beautiful state, coming from the same node that was hanging the marble.
The figure had a hoodie on, probably to keep the chilly winds and temperature out. The cord of the headphones bended and straightened every few centimetres till it finally reached her jeans pocket.
They key was put into the ignition as the engine roared to life then settled. Softly purring. The woman stroked the black coloured beauty with her thumb as she slightly smiled. Kicking off the stand, she accelerated.
And you're standing on the edge, face up 'cause you're a,
A beating heart of stone,
To make it in this world.
Living your life cutthroat,
She cruised down the empty streets of London. Ofcourse, not many vehicles passed her by, at this time of the night. Her hood long down, hair flailing in the wind. A helmet was preferred, but not on errands like this. It wasn't needed as much as in day with the streets bustling with people. Her leg and hand twitching every few minutes as she clutched, changed gear, accelerated and braked. It was for a different reason every time.
She reached her destination silently uttering a curse in happiness. Yeah, you read that right. She put her hightlighted hair back and pulled up her hood once again. Night time didn't mean letting the guard down.
Break me down and build me up.
I wanna be the slip, slip.
Letter that you rip, rip.
Break me down and build me up.
The woman pulled the key out and buried it into her pocket. She tugged at the stand and leaned the motorcycle. Her leg swinged off. She looked to her left and right before crossing the small lane.
'Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins,
'Cause I love how it feels when I break the chains,
You take me to the top I'm ready for,
'Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins,
She pushed the glass door open and sliped through. The stimulating smell of coffee immediately flooded her senses as she sighed happily. The Alpha glanced around with a noting gaze, pushing off the headphones but not removing her hood.
"Next!" The barista announced, voice tired.
"I'll have one (Your Coffee Order) to go. Name's....Abyss." She grinned and ordered before pausing. Her name. Her grin faltering a bit before she smiled again. He stopped, furrowing his eyebrows, his mouth opened something to say before noticing her. Half of her. She was the definition of mystery right now. Red painted lips. A part of her perfectly carved nose and cheekbones showed. Sharp jawline. Graceful yet strong poisture. He came very close to drooling. Only if he could see her eyes.
"Oh, co-cool name." He caught wind of himself and write it down.
"Thanks." The woman had noticed him staring. It was peculiar yet, adorable. Them thinking they could tame her heart. Hah.
She played around with the keys in her pocket. Waiting for her coffee. As her name came, she grabbed the steaming cup, lifting it off and once again looked to the barista as he winked. She waved him bye smirking and discreetly rolling her eyes. Men.
She exited the shop. Her headphones yet again on.
Sipping the coffee. Red stains. She crossed the road yet again. Relaxingly sat on her motorcycle. Sip. Another sip. A snort followed by a chuckle. "Are you guys gonna stand there all night? I mean come on, that's not very realistic. But what's realistic is, me, running you over with Abyss." She tilted and turned her head toward the sides of the shop. She could distinctively make 2 figures.
"Oh, shush, you need to get a babysitter for yourself." Aderyn scolded her friend, getting overlapped by Skylar.
"Were you gonna run us over with your coffee cup?" Skylar vaguely pointed to the cup in Jackson's hand which had the name of her black beauty written.
"She's an assassin. Ofcourse she can kill with it." Flow turned towards her with wide eyes. Her face seemed to be glowing in the soft, warm light of the logo and name. Starbucks.
Y/N laughed. "No, i'm not gonna kill you guys. I might kill someone else, though. Haven't decided which one will have the pleasure to be the first out of the list." Her eyes flashed silver before signalling them to come over.
"Well, my small stealth ninjas-"
Both the girls groaned. They were very, very, very tired of their friend having super powers. But being an assassin as well? That was beyond human tolerance.
"-You don't need to worry. You know very well zapping takes my energy out and replaces it with the urge to sleep. And i don't have time for that shit. I got work. I don't get in or brew trouble on my tours either." Jackson completed her sentence, finally finishing her coffee at the end of her sentence. "Wait, where is Zi-" She looked back and saw Aderyn's blue Royal Emfield Thunderbird and Skylar's orange 1968 Dodge Coronet Super Bee. Only two vehicles. Jackson snapped back in disbelief to their friends apologetic faces. In a few seconds, they cracked.
"Again?!" Y/N said in between laughs. "Alright, let's head back." She jumped off her vehicle to throw her cup as the other girls headed to their vehicles.
-Time Skip brought to you by Nestle-
Ziva was sleeping soundly drooling over the table that had books and maps spread over it. She had worked a while before it was too much to take. She had told Skylar and Aderyn that she wouldn't fall asleep and be careful but, here she was. Dreaming. A beach and a man.
The women sneaked in, careful not to wake up David. Each person weaponised. Jackson with an air horn, McCartney and Flow with shaving cream in their hands as they approached the girl sleeping on the table. Only a few feet away, Y/N counted down to the prank, that was to wake Ziva up with the horn and both cheeks having a layer of foam just after.
Backfire. That was what happened.
Just as the countdown from 5 reached 2, David woke up by herself. Suddenly and at full speed, stood up. The pranker's reflexs took over as Jackson blew the horn, startling herself and took a defensive form whereas, the other 2 slapped themselves with their hands, full of the shaving cream. Ziva David was very well-supplied with confusion as she looked at her friends-slash-comrades.
The 4 stared at each other without moving before Y/N produced water from her palm, washing the girls. Still no one moved and just, stared. At. Each. Other.
Y/N cleared her throat. "So, anything to update on the architecture of the place?"
Flow joined in, "About that, i'll need to be inside somewhere. I would be able to crack it from here but, they would know that they're getting infiltrated."
"Hacked." The german-girl smiled, wiggling her eyebrows at Aderyn. She still got fascinated with the word 'hack'.
"Can i talk now? So, the pla-" Ziva cracked mid-sentence.
Soon, the four key members of The White Wolves were rolling on the floor laughing at the flunked prank which also, backfired.
And, I'm guessing you thought that a super-powered human-slash-assassin, the best weapons specialist, a brilliant hacker and the smooth operator would be professional. Hah. Guess again.
