Georgia Bureau of Investigation's director has refuted claims a third man arrested for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery stating he's "confident" with the arrest. William "Roddie" Bryan Jr. was charged with felony murder and criminal intent to commit false imprisonment. "I can tell you that if we believed he was a witness, we wouldn't have arrested him" GBI Director Vic Reynolds said during a press conference Friday. "At this point we feel confident that individuals who needed to be charged, have been charged" Bryan's role has not been clear but there has been speculation he used his vehicle to help chase and corner Ahmaud Arbery. There were two warrants issues for Bryan. The false imprisonment warrant accuses Bryan of "utilizing his vehicle on multiple occasions with the intention of confining and detaining Arbery" The second warrant : "the accused did cause the death of another, Ahmaud Arbery, during a commission of felony." During the press conference Reynolds acknowledged people's concerns of Bryan's murder charge even though he is not accused of shooting Arbery. "As the warrant states, he was charged with an underlying felony," Reynolds said. "He's also charged with felony murder. So we believe the evidence would indicate his underlying felony helped caused the death of Ahmaud Arbery. • • #AhmaudArbery #WilliamRoddieBryanJr #WilliamBryan #WilliamBryanJr #GregoryMcMichael #TravisMcMichael #runwithmaud #IRunWithAhmaud #justiceforahmaud #news #unheardvoicesmag https://www.instagram.com/p/CAiRb3bl2oK/?igshid=19hzofg3o361v
