Will blinked, he couldn’t believe his eyes. The red hair, the glasses, those eyes… “B-Babs?” He stuttered as he looked at the semi-translucent figure of the late Barbara Gordon gazing back at him.
"Th-This isn’t fa-fair Babs…" Will tried to keep it together as he walked towards the apparition. The dark blond held up his hand to caress, or try to caress her cheek, tears welling up in his eyes. "I-I want to hold yo-you in my arms and now I can’t…Dammit!" Fresh tears began to fall as he tried to blink them away. "I miss you…" He whispered as the sobs began to wrack his body and he knelt in front of her. "I miss you…"
If she could cry, she would be sobbing next to him, she was sure. "I-I'm so sorry Will...So sorry." She whispered, kneeling down next him. "I miss you too baby, so much." Her transparent hand moved over top of his hair, wanting to run her fingers through it to calm him. "I didn't want to leave you, William. You know that. I love you.." Her head moved to try and lock gazes with him. "I love you, and I'll always be with you. But right now, you need to be the strong man I fell in love with, and go hold your daughter. Because I swear to god, William. If that little girl grows up without both parents, I will kill you when you get to this side."
