💸 - What does your muse think of wealthy people? Do they resent them, or do they believe they earned what they have?
Because of his beginnings, Jack admittedly has some less-than-favorable feelings towards the wealthy - himself included, once he was reintroduced into noble society. There is a certain level of contempt with the moral carelessness that goes into being wealthy; however, he has found such carelessness to be at his advantage.
👧 - What is your muse’s relationship like with their siblings? Who do they get along with best?
Having been the son of adultery, Jack’s siblings did not necessarily find him particularly worth their time at first - however, as he did his own work of reclimbing into society with assistance from the Viscount and the Barmas, the brothers made their amends.
He is closer to his eldest brother, Louis, because Louis is quite a few years older than Jack and their middle brother, Danton. Louis took sympathy to Jack quicker as the future Viscount, and played a formidable role in his social reintroduction. Danton and the sole Vessalius sister, Mariah, still have some tension with Jack, but they are trying their best.
⌛️ - How often does your muse think about death? Do they think about it at all?
It would certainly not be a secret that Jack considers death quite a bit. He has been face-to-face with it many times (and in post-Sablier, he fears it because he seems to escape it at every turn.)
🔗 - What are your muse’s standards for meaningful relationships? How quickly do they form relationships like these?
He is incredibly insecure about his relationships with people – to the point where he feels he must cover himself under facade after facade in order to create proper relationships. But there are exceptions - people like Lacie and Oswald, and even Arthur to some extent, have seen him a bit more vulnerable, more honest. It takes quite a bit of effort to form meaningful relationships, because of his consistent crisis of identity, and therefore he struggles with letting people in.
(Or worse, he becomes absolutely obsessed with them. (ie. Lacie))
But on the occasion he does get there, consider him there to the end. (Permitted that it – benefits him.)
💧 - How would your muse react to losing a best friend? How would they cope?
It would start with the question: does Jack have a best friend? Supposedly, the closest he could consider is Oswald - Lacie holds too much of his emotional attention to have a balanced relationship, he and Glen have a friendly but contentious relationship, and even Arthur is debatable, because of his doings with Miranda.
He would shut down, in the event of losing a best friend. Cut all ties. Plaster a smile on his face to hide the hideousness working in his brain.
🎭 - How does your muse handle their emotions? Do they bottle them up or pour them out as soon as they start to feel?
On the outside, all appears to be well - even when he ran away as a teenager, somehow people would catch him with a smile on his face for the most part. But the moment someone were to prod, emotions would pour out of his body. He’s fragile, and it takes a lot of mental fortitude (not necessarily healthy fortitude) to hold it back.
This got easier as he got older, but as previously said, it was not healthy. A lot of those emotional mixups became motivation for harmful actions when opportunity was presented.
💋 - How does your muse feel about people who cheat? Do they see a reason for it, or is it completely immoral?
It’s hard to say, because he sees everything as so black and white. I suppose it depends on who it is, maybe he could find reason for it if they were to prove themselves as an okay person otherwise.
But for the most part, he just might be disgusted. (Someone like Glen (Levi) would do such a thing, and that puts an awful taste in his mouth.)
🍟 - How does your muse feel about their body? Would they change it if they could?
In a physical sense, it is one of the few things he is strangely okay with about himself. He was insecure about looking so much like his father as a child, but he grew up to be fairly handsome - and the world around him made sure he knew it, too.
If he could, he would certainly not resemble the Viscount as strongly as he does. (But in his day and age, such procedures are not particularly available - without extreme risk.) But he stays healthy, and looks the part as well - all a part of being presentable and attractive to society.
