Foggy Morning at Willow Road.

As you'll notice with the new header and edited layout, the site is going under some re-construction. Always looking to improve, there were some aspects of FG that worked when I started the blog, over a year ago, that are no longer in line with my goals and aesthetics; over the next few weeks, you will start to see some new features, old styles left behind and hopefully the beginning a brand-new swag. So, Ernö Goldfinger designed and lived in a nice terraced house in Hampstead, not in a Brutalist tower block, funny that huh? Actually if my memory serves me correctly I think he might have moved into the Balfron Tower for a bit, obviously not a PR stunt at all. Ernö babes, I'm with you—give me Willow Road or Lubetkin's Highpoint any day.

As part of the London Design Festival, there's special guided tours of the house this weekend (14 & 15 September) by Design Museum curator Pete Collard and Goldfinger biographer Nigel Warburton. Tours run at 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm; self-guided exploration of the house from 3pm to 5pm. Find out more here.

#SoChel Experience

Restaurant: Willow Road NYC

Okay guys (and gals), as we all grow and change so will Blue Perk. This is my first of many new posts that will incorporate more of my lifestyle that I want to share with you all. For this post, I had the pleasure of visiting an extremely cute restaurant on the cusp of Chelsea and Meat Packing. Willow Road had me and a few of my closest friends and new friends for dinner on Monday. We arrived to a full glass of our choice of white or red wine, for a casual social hour before being seated to an extremely filling dinner. Starting with roasted nuts and salad, to light pasta, steak fries with ranch, then the best salmon I've had (no taste of the ocean) and delicious fried chicken that any southern lad would approve of. After all that, we finished up with dessert that instantly had me salivating while taking my angle perfect picture. Now that I have gathered myself back together post dinner, I will forever have a special place in my stomach for Willow Road and will look forward to my next #sochel dinner.
