hc that Finch, despite being an ACE with his slingshot (precision aim is spot-on), is clumsy af. Loses stuff constantly bc his hand just lets it go. Like, there's a crash??? Something fell??? Just listen to the reaction. If it's angry/loud, Jack caused it. If there's a sigh of acceptance/resignation and a muttered swear, it's Finchy-boy

omfg yes, that sounds about right. he’s probably real good when he’s focused, hence his good aim, but when he’s not focused (most of the time) things just kinda happen and he’s like “alright, guess this is happening now.” he just strikes me as that kind of guy.

A: totally loved jason and spent time with him while he and marvin weren’t together (canon), but would also ask about marvin every now and then and jason wouldn’t have it. he’d be like “so.. what’s your father up to” and jason just like hits him in the arm and is like STOP ASKING ABT MY DAD!! but regardless being with him kind of helped him “get over” marvin after a while (or at least deal with it, we know he never really got over it) since jason obviously has more sense than all of these adults combined.

ok not only this but he actually adores children?? he doesn’t act like it but he will give jason piggyback rides and say hello to babies on the street and teaches random kids at the gym how to play racquetball and purposefully loses to make them feel awesome because he just loves the look on their faces when they win.

B: would do the “nude photography” thing where instead of taking photos of nude people, he takes photos nude and photographs people’s reactions. 

C: never expected to really live long. not just bc of stds, but just in general. he dealt with the stress and depression and overall shittiness of being a gay man in that time period, and did what he could to pretend he wasn’t affected by it. really, he was terrified - of being killed, or doing the deed himself. if it wasn’t that, he knew his risky behavior would catch up with him eventually - and it did. after 2 years passed and he got back with marvin and everything was better, he was finally starting to feel more comfortable with who he was, and he was happy. he never thought he’d be where he got, surrounded by people that loved him, and cared for him, and he loved them back. he actually wanted to be alive in the fucked up world they lived in - not just that, but he wanted to live with marvin. he wanted to live a long, happy life with marvin. and then everything finally caught up to him.
