mini FAQ (I guess?) under cut:

I mostly use procreate and only the boring default brushes! mostly 6b pencil, narinder pencil, syrup and marker. for hashtag serious animation i use toonboom harmony

OCs and other nonfandom stuff under the #original tag. I've dabbled in longform ish fan creations such as:

#illegally bound - co-creation with @frozenladybug, a modern au of the 2017 movie journey to the west 2: the demons strike back wherein wukong and xuanzang enter the world's stupidest fake marriage plot. Ongoing since 2021

#cats hs au - also co-created with @frozenladybug, a modern au of cats the musical focusing on tugger and mistoffeles. Finished although there's some extras i might still post one day

#aph hs au - disjointed highschool au thoughts about various ships and characters from hetalia that form a semi cohesive whole. I'll probably add to it whenever the hetalia demon returns to possess me

ive been sooooo not drawing at all recently but i started reading a new demons article on jstor and it got me inspired to doodle <3 specifically this line

i figured i'd look thru my files and dig out some more sketches to post. heres sommething based on a line from a different article where stav is compared to cubism (?)

and some band au doodles from ytd. this stav randomly came out rlly well.

ive been torn for a while what sexuality would be the funniest for stav 1. straight 2. bicurious 3. heteroflexible

i have a vague memory of daniel radcliffe? calling himself heteroflexible at some point? but i think itd be more in character for stav to say he doesnt like labels when asked. gotta queerbait the fans

wyjadacze serc w stanie kacenjameru

inspired by the zagórski translation of the line "Печорины-сердцееды". Constance Garnett translates it as "lady-killing Petchorins", but Zagórski drops the literary reference entirely and instead makes it something like "hungover heart-eaters". "wyjadać" means to devour, but with a specific twist to it that i struggle to translate otherwise than. to eat out?? and "kacenjamer" is an archaic germanic word for a hangover that can also mean loud, chaotic, yappy noise. inaccurate though it may be, i have to say i enjoy this version tremendously...

Saw five minutes of 1965 russian War and peace yesterday (the miniserie in four episodes of like two and a half hours each) so of course I was immediately seized with the need to go once more through all your wap content. I won't say that it's better than I remembered because I remembered it being insanely awesome, and it is insanely awesome and I love all of it. I'm so glad you fought your shame and posted even the most risqué stuff because some of those pieces give me life and the rest give me the kind of good humour I could feed on for days. i've never. ever taken this long before to clean up my sketches. one day of drawing and two of cleanup. but on the bright side i'm so sick of looking at these that it kinda overpowers the embarrassment.

10. Favorite piece of clothing to draw

oh man i love drawing clothing in general!! trousers are probably my least favourite, i find it difficult to get interesting/appealing shapes out of them, shoes are horribly difficult though i really do try cuz i think they can add so much to a piece... my favourite would proooobably be 1. napoleonic uniforms which was slightly detectable in my war and peace fanart. to the eagle eyed observer. very subtle stuff. i made a tutorial on it even, though it was largely me talking out of my ass. and 2. shirts... specifically in the sleeves/shoulder area, ive been really enjoying drawing the draping folds there recently. i also have to give a shoutout to waistcoats... the sexiest garment fr... unfortunately they don't drape/wrinkle much because they sit pretty smoothly on the body but it's okay i still love them. no jacket just waistcoat + shirt is a real #Look, the contrast in the fabrics is really nice

18. An estimate of how much art supplies you've broken

NONE BABYYY well my ipad has a crack from literally like the first month of my owning it 🤦 but it works just fine!! and despite being extremely careless with liquids around my electronics ive managed to keep my tablets in working order. ive probably broken some pencils in the past but ive been so digital for the past half a decade or so...

25. Something your art has been compared to that you were NOT inspired by

now that i think about it ive gotten out of nowhere hamilton comparisons TWO TIMES in the past so??? though i mean i WAS hugely into hamilton and the animatics that come with it back when it was big so i probably WAS somewhat influenced... i feel like one of my tutors in uni MUST have made some very learned comparisons about my art but i cant say any have stuck with me long enough to remember them now 💀 oops...
