Churches have always fascinated you. Ever since you arrived here you've been drawn to their presence, at least on an aesthetic basis- as a youth lost in an unfamiliar world, you found comfort in the arcane symbology and the lavish embellishments that so reminded you of home. Where you are from, gold and silver were not merely accents to be worn when one was trying to look their best. It graced every parapet in the cities, filled the streets with brilliant light, and took on far more basal of a meaning than a spiritual one.

GUILTY PLEASURES:

lea likes sweets…… they definitely have a stash of chocolates somewhere that they somehow make last forever cus they have incredible self restraint and only eat one piece like every other month (my mom eats candy like this and it scares me)

clementine likes to read trashy romance novels and Will shamelessly recommend them to friends so maybe not that guilty after all. also likes sweets and like lea has a pocket full of candy in their jacket

i find it hard that merry would ever feel guilty about anything LOL but definitely would sleep late all the time if she could get away with it and didn’t have so many things to do…still might do it occasionally and leave mal and noel to pick up the slack. also she drinks straight out of the bottle/carton and would double dip while sharing food and get defensive if you said something about it

noel always sneaks extra food for themself and likes to eat in bed. also loves to sing loudly despite being the worst singer imaginable. would definitely watch reality tv if possible, specifically jersey shore and unironically love it

PET PEEVES:

lea is annoyed by most thinks but will strangle you over the table if you eat with your mouth open (and so will i)

merry will kill you if you dog ear pages in books (sorry merry)

clementine gets freaked out when people crack their knuckles and pop their fingers. not really a pet peeve but it makes them cringe (again sorry clem i do this constantly)

noel hates any kind of passive aggressive behavior…you know those kind of roommates that leave like sticky notes instead of just talking to you. noel would not tolerate that nonsense and will make sure you know that

They have not!! I think this post touches on it a little, but I am here to sate the curiosity 😌

Amaranth usually prefers full on sprawling over you when they can get away with it, and is more than delighted to have the same done to them. In their more contemplative moments, they’ll curl into their partner and simply hold their hand. 

Aster is someone who’s okay with cuddling but doesn’t really want someone fully on top of them (and in turn won’t do that to someone else). As such, they usually wind up with their partner flush against their side with their head on their shoulder, or vice versa.

Cam runs warm (werewolves tend to in general), and is perfectly content being used as a full body space heater. Hike a leg up on them or let them do it to you, they’re fine with whatever as long as you’re close. Expect Snookums to wiggle his way in there, too. 

Remy overheats pretty quickly, and so DOES love to cuddle but in a limited way most of the time if that makes sense? An arm slung over an arm, linked pinkies, one person’s leg over the other person’s - they’re there but not crowding their partner.

Emoni loves to do that one position where one partner lays on top of the other on the couch, and doesn’t really have a preference for which spot she winds up in! Really enjoys being able to feel the rise and fall of her love’s breathing and the beat of their heart against her own. 

Will’s got a weak spot for resting their head in their partner’s lap or vice versa, especially if the witch plays with their hair. The trust, the intimacy, the vulnerability... 

R+W together is usually just a heap of limbs honestly. Recurring hits include the three-person spoon stack, Remy draped across the both of you in the colder months, or someone’s leg being the only thing touching the other two in the warmer months.

49. What is their most valued object? Are they sentimental? Is there something they have to take everywhere with them?

Sam: A strip of frayed, faded blue ribbon. Mc gave it to Sam when they were little and Sam needed a bookmark, it was a piece of mc’s favorite dress at the time. Sam has held onto it all these years, a small connection to her best friend. Like the others, Sam is very sentimental, in private hehe. 

Hugh: His retractable cane. The mechanism is beyond him but its one the first things his partner made for him and it’s been very useful over the years. Hugh is very sentimental but its not in his nature to express love with material things. He’ll cherish the gifts others give him but he prefers to spend quality time with his loved ones. 

Vivian: A small pedant her first husband made her, its resin with a pressed blue cornflower trapped inside. she tries not to be sentimental, which seems to contradict her materialism. But Vivian tries to keep the past in the past, only in her weakest moments does she dwell on what she’s lost.

Warren: A handkerchief embroidered by his mother with his initials. He’d answered with an enthusiastic no but yes, he is very sentimental. Warren is very careful with the objects other give him, he has a habit of taking little gifts from others but when the bridges burn he always remembers to return them.

In another life, you think that Will would’ve made a killing as a hairdresser. 

“If you move again, so help me, Remington-”

Or maybe not. 

“You love me too much to do anything more serious than cooking my eggs the wrong way and you know it, Will.”

From your position on Will’s bed you don’t catch what they mutter under their breath, but Remy’s laugh rings clear and inspires yours just by the brightness of it. Will gives you the stink eye through their mirror, but you’ve known and loved them for years. The curl of their mouth is tell enough.

“Well, you haven’t managed to make them bald yet.” You get up from the bed to stand next to Will, surveying their work on Remy’s hair. It’s about an inch shorter than it was a half hour ago, the ends no longer split, and still wet. 

Even so, you curl a strand of it around your finger and tug gently, winking at them in the mirror. “I like it.”

“Bald, hm?” Will grins, and Remy’s eyes dart towards the scissors that they’re still holding. “Could be a good look for them.” 

You snort, reaching up to mess up Will’s hair. “Not unless you want me to return the favor!”

“Agreed.” Remy’s smile is just a little sinister. “Remember what happened last time, Will?”

8. MEANING

Remy thinks the meaning of life isn’t quite as deep as some people make it out to be, and doesn’t really think there’s a meaning at all. Keeping their family and the people they choose to keep around them safe, and love - that’s what life means. That’s what being happy means. As long as they have that, they’re good to go.

For Will, it’s not quite as clear-cut as all that. Their family and friends matter, of course they do, but they want- they want. They want something to make sense, they want a purpose to drive them, they want a meaning. Why else would they have the magic that they do, if not to help? They’re not sure yet, but they’re hoping to figure it out. Eventually.
