When Logan is having a rough day, he sits out in the lounge room and tries to do anything. Work on his laptop, read, look through Roman's ideas... And when that doesn't work, he ends up just flopping down and just lays on the couch. He hates it, but getting up is hard. Working is hard. Reading is hard. Making logic of things is hard.

But when he's on the couch, he's being watched as the others all know that he works outside of his room when he's having a bad day. They leave him be, maybe handing him a cup of coffee and a tray of easy snack foods, but otherwise they go about their day and just keep an eye on him.

When he flops over, that's when they have to decide who's gonna go over and help him out. If it's Roman, he moves everything aside and let's Logan put his head in his lap. He just talks about something random (usually his Imagination adventures) and moves his fingers through Logan's hair until he's asleep.

Patton goes over, asks if he would like a hug, then brings him up into his lap for cuddles. He tells him how good of a job he's doing and that he's allowed to have a break until Logan falls asleep.

Remus helps him sit up and they watch animal documentaries that they've both seen a hundred times over, but its easier to talk about things when he doesn't need to think as much. It usually ends with Logan passing out mid-sentence, but Remus catches him and makes sure he's comfy before letting him sleep.

Virgil puts a weighted blanket over him, puts a pillow under his head, and sits on the floor beside him as he scrolls through Tumblr. Sometimes he shows Logan something that's either a fact or a meme that he's shown him before, but mostly its just a comfy silence between the two of them.

Janus, after gently asking for permission, uses all six hands to help Logan into his arms and into his room. He gently takes his glasses off, tucks him into his own bed, and lays behind him. Logan either says that he'd like to be held, or just falls asleep in the comfiest room in the Mindscape with Janus relaxing beside him. He often wakes to water and Crofters on toast, as well as some of his work finished for him.

Remus And Therapy Headcanon

I’ve read fics where Remus dislikes or is against going to a therapist (for himself, I haven’t seen one where he tells others not to) but I can see Remus liking the concept of therapy the most.

He’s associated with Intrusive Thoughts, Disturbing Imagery and Religious Language. He also enjoys chaos, going against the grain and saying whatever comes to his head. But he also talks about how repression is bad.

He wants Thomas to talk about what’s going through his head. He may want him to think about the more ‘juicy’ dark thoughts of his, but I would believe that he’d be glad that Thomas talked about some of his issues with someone who wasn’t apart of himself. To get through some of his issues of dealing with his social anxiety, without having to convince his personification of anxiety to step back for three seconds. And other things too.

I can see him wanting Roman to talk about his insecurities, possibly even attempting to nudge the topic out of him. Not the best thing to do, but he wants his brother to be happy with himself.

He wants Logan to stop suppressing his emotions. Maybe get mad at him for throwing a chair at him mid-way through a meeting or something. Get him to let out some of that building anger.

Virgil? To talk to Janus and make up already so that the three of them can have movie nights again.

Janus? The same as Virgil. And to maybe talk through his trust issues a bit too.

And he wants Patton to let out the ‘bad’ emotions too, because the world isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes, it’s shitty days and wanting to punch a wall for seemingly no reason. He doesn’t want Patton to actually punch a wall (although it would be burned into his mind forever and would be awesome to watch), but to let it out a bit more.

So yeah.

I see Remus as the advocate of chaotic balance who just wants Thomas to go see a real therapist while the Sides go see one for themselves. Then maybe he could talk about his own insecurities at some point.

He dislikes repression. He’s also a hypocrite.

Logan Being Adorable Crow/Raven/Birb Boi

Basically I’m stuck with this headcanon forever now because I love it too much and I really love crows and ravens and the idea of winged Sides so welcome to my list of what Logan does that’s birb related.

- Logan is the one that reminds the other Sides when Thomas is speaking to someone who has hurt them in the past. He also does this as soon as Thomas sees them, so that the others don’t try to initiate something that would put Virgil and Janus on edge. 

- And technically that’d be more for Virgil and/or Janus to do but Logan kind of just did it and they don’t complain. He does it because crows are known for telling others when and what the nearby mean human looks like and helps them avoid them. He didn’t even realise that it was a thing he did for the longest time.

- He also makes sure that the others stay warm; even more so Janus now that the snek actually hangs around them all now. He knows that its a very parental thing to do but when he sees one of the others shiver he wants to just hug them and warm them up; so he puts a blanket on them instead because that’d be weird for Logic to do.

- He really wants to be the hugger, and not the huggee. He wants his wings around the other Side and to keep them safe in the little pocket he makes. But he denies that he ever has these thoughts and does his best to ignore them.

- Remember that he’s also Curiosity and that birbs are very curious little creatures too.

- SPEAKING OF CURIOSITY! Like the twins, Logan also has a small pocket (much smaller then the ‘kingdoms’ that the twins have) that he can manipulate. He’s hidden said space from the twins but he also hasn’t been there in years...

- Before he became so... non-showing of his emotions, he used to fly around his small space and even played ring toss games and other things. He still loves games, of any kind really, but he limits himself to ‘intellectual’ games so that his self-made reputation stays intact.

- I’m bumming myself out here so HE MAKES NESTS! In his bed. And without twigs and sticks and stuff, he’s found that they like to dig into his skin and put holes in his clothes as he sleeps. He uses blankets, pillows, stuffed toys, in as many different shapes and textures as he can because he loves having so many different textured things. He usually makes them on rough days, where he’s too tired to talk himself out of making such a ‘weird’ thing- but they’re usually huge and he falls asleep INSTANTLY in them.

- Roman used to pat his head. Roman no longer pats his head. It feels nice, especially when he did the thing where you have all your finger tips on the scalp and just move them in and out, but Logan always slapped his hand away before he got too relaxed. He knows he makes tiny birb noises when he’s happy and with the Side that he sees as his best friend? He’d be relaxed too easily. And then everything with Roman would be destroyed because he’d instantly find it ‘weird’ and ‘abnormal’. 

- No one touch his shinies. He has quietly and sneakily snatched a few of the others things (he made sure that they wouldn’t be missed) and sometimes he pulls them out from the back of his closet just to shine different coloured lights on them at different angles and- Oh look, five hours have passed and all he’s done is look at shiny things. He loves it, but also hates how much time he’s ‘wasted’ when he could be working.

- No one touch his pebbles either. Roman and Remus used to give him pebbles back when they first appeared and he has no idea how they knew that he loves these round rocks that each are formed under a one in a million-billion chance. Even now, he’s seen a few pebbles lying around the Mindscape that he’s picked up and he knows that Remus leaves them around for him specifically. He’s rather glad that Remus hasn’t asked why he likes pebbles so much...

- Speaking of Remus, he once had the thought to eat one of his tentacles (birds eat squids its not TOO weird) and he saw Remus almost snap his neck to look at him after the sudden intrusive thought. Logan doesn’t know why Remus lied and said that he just wanted to try and scare Logan; when he had obviously heard his thought. 

- So Logan’s 100% afraid of Remus learning that he is birb and sharing it and its the only thing about Remus that he is scared of. And he hates it because Remus is so much fun to freakin’ talk to!!!!!!!!!!

- Oh and he definitely only falls in love once in his entire life and it’s for the person that he fears will find out his secret. So more repressing his feelings!

- He can’t watch any movies with flying in it. It makes his back ache and his legs jitter because every part of him wants to go do that. Go in the sky and just stretch his wings.

- Oh and he hasn’t let his poor wings out in years. 5 years? 8? He’s lost count. But he has been getting more and more back pains around the others and he knows that its the exact place his wings would attach to his back. He’s thought about locking himself up in his room, never coming out to avoid the increasing back pain, but he knows that it’d drive him crazy to not be around everyone. And to not see Thomas or Remus or Roman or the others again... So he puts up with it.

*hugs Logan* SPREAD YOU’RE WINGS AND FLY LO GOSH I WANT TO SEE MORE CANON-SETTING WINGED LOGAN FICS. Seriously if you know of an existing Logan fic where he’s a birb, please link me. Or if you make one from here PLEASE show me I would be so overwhelmingly astounded to see something made from this (i would prefer a happy ending one but I’d read any tbh)

Headcanon: Roman Doesn’t Like His Own Colour

What if Roman’s favourite colour was yellow but ever since he was a child, Patton had told him to go with red since it reminded him of Janus. But he never said that, and just gave Roman red clothes to wear.

He likes yellow as it was almost green, but not quite (like how he is both like and not like Remus in a lot of ways). 

He likes yellow because it reminds him of the happiness Thomas feels whenever his partners do some kind, romantic gesture.

He likes yellow because red seems more for anger and blood and rage. He knows that red could mean passion too, but even his synesthesia makes him see a lot of yellow, with some pinks and whites and blues when love and passion were said. His own traits even screamed ‘yellow’ to him.

He knew that Anx- I mean Virgil’s colours where more for royalty. He saw red cloaks on kings and queens, but there’s an actual Royal Purple that suited them much better.

After meeting Thomas, his favourite colour is still yellow. But more because he sees Janus in it and it makes him love him even more. The first syllable of his name looked yellow, with the second half looking grass green. 

He loved yellow because it started reminding him of Janus. He hated red because “Dark Sides” was mostly shades of red to him and he thinks his own synthesthesia is torturing him.

Then he loved yellow even more when Janus held his hands between all six of his yellow gloves and kissed him.

Now he gets to wear yellow all the time, under the guise of wearing his boyfriends clothes because they remind him of him. And also paints his nails yellow. Gets rid of a lot of the red in his room for yellow. Yellow roses. Yellow and red sash that the others don’t question. 

Only Janus knows his love for yellow. And Janus shares his colour with him. 

Roman looks nice in yellow anyway.

Kinda Random Sides Headcanons Of Mine

- Patton is AceAro and he only found out after talking to Logan about it. He loves everyone like they are his child except Logan; who is like the ultimate bestie to him. 

- During his talk with Patton, Logan learnt that he is Demiromantic. He swore Patton to secrecy after tearing up because it lifted a weight off his heart after saying that he is homosexual for years now. This has caused him to research everything about sexuality in case any of the other Sides ever need help with it.

- Remus has known that he is asexual for years now and both Janus and Virgil know this about him. He told Roman years ago, but he wasn’t believed so he didn’t bother mentioning it again.

- Roman is Pansexual but is incredibly insecure about it as he sees that as the Romantic side, he is ‘supposed’ to have the same sexual attraction as Thomas. Only Janus knows this and he has zero idea on how to help.

- Logan wants to dye his hair dark blue and purple like a galaxy but is afraid of being seen as immature! Also put some star decorations in his hair! He loves the stars SO DANG MUCH-

- Logan helps Janus with his shedding. Remus helps whenever Logan is busy with Thomas, but the Logical Side has been helping him since before Virgil was a Light Side. No matter how much Janus tiredly threatens tells Logan to stop caring because hes a Dark Side or whatever; Logan stays and helps.

- Roman and Remus are touch starved. If one is feeling it badly, the other often feels it too.

- Only Patton and Janus knew King Creativity and they never have, or will, talk about him. Ever.

- Remus loves Disney songs and all those kinds of songs that seems more like a ‘Roman’ thing to like; but he too sings Anastasia’s “Once Upon A December” and Coco’s “Remember Me”. Who do you think gets them stuck in Thomas’ head? Those count as Intrusive Thoughts too.

- That said, Roman does let himself sing a more ‘Remus-y’ song whenever he’s DOUBLE sure that he’s alone. 

- Roman thinks that Logan and Patton are perfect beings with perfect ideas for Thomas and that he ruins them with his own not-so-perfect ideas. Seriously, this boi has to learn that none of them are good or bad...

- Remus is the one to go to if the others are having an anxiety/panic attack. Why? He’ll shove a cup full of ice cubes at them to chew on (or get a lemon if they can’t handle the cold), find their perfect movie/song because he somehow found that out, and he will not let them be alone. Want hugs? He’ll cling to them like an octopus. Want some space? He’ll do something off to the side that always lets them know he’s there. 11/10 distraction for the brain.

- Janus can and will use six arms to hug others. Every time. He is the best hugger out of everyone and they had a competition that says so. He keeps the medal Roman had made for the winner in his room.

- Their bedrooms and the rooms that Thomas can visit are two different rooms. The rooms that enhance their specific traits are usually used to help push Thomas into a certain direction; such as Logan using his room to help him think more logically.

- Janus hates his room because it causes him to lie ALL the time. He wants to be known as self-preservation as well as Deceit but even his own room is fighting against him. So he rarely goes there and hangs out in his bedroom instead.

- Roman painted everyone’s bedroom doors. Once he and Remus grow closer, the doors suddenly get more intricate and Roman (after debating with himself about it) gives Remus the credit he deserves for it.

- After said door painting; Logan gets the twins and asks them to paint his room for him. Something new that won’t distract him. He half expects it to be painted like a science lab or something, but instead he finds the walls to be the same colour while his ceiling is now a galaxy that blends halfway down the walls. It distracts him from his work sometimes; but he doesn’t seem to mind and he’s more productive in the long run.

- Remus baked with Patton one time and his impulsiveness helped create the Crofter Cookie™ which Logan is often caught sneaking third and fourth (secretly twelve) cookies.

- Which he shares with Janus, who secretly loves Crofters as well.

- Roman loves strawberry everything; but kiwi’s are a close second and he’s only ever told Virgil about it. 

- Logan lost a bet with Roman the same time Janus lost a bet with Remus. A week later; the other Sides, Thomas and Friends watched them perform Non-Stop. Logan as Hamilton, Janus as Burr with the twins being Eliza and Angelica. Logan got more into it then anyone thought he would.

- Janus is a huge fan of Leslie Odom Jr. and seeing him on Sanders Sides made him scream into a pillow at every chance he had between recordings. 

- Patton checks on everyone before he goes to bed. And now that Janus and Remus are more involved with Thomas, he checks on them too. The two of them have no idea how to handle this new routine because he’s just so sincere about it!

- Logan loves hugs and no one can tell me otherwise. He’s just VERY particular on how the hug has to be and he once spent three hours with Roman on trying to get the right hug. Somehow, Remus got the Perfect Hug first try.

- Janus has the floofiest of hair that NOTHING can stop. Remus often jokes about how his hair can break a sword in half. Often followed by Remus breaking a sword over Janus’ head without the Side flinching at all.

- If ANYONE is in trouble, Virgil knows about it and he ain’t afraid to punch a bitch. Or use the fire extinguisher as punching doesn’t stop fires. He’s always the first and last on the scene. 

- Remus is teaching Logan self-defence. Janus is teaching him how to dance. The Side wants to be ready for literally anything. 

- Remus loves eating bone marrow and on Thanksgiving, he’s able to debone the entire turkey. No one knows how; but he’s happy to eat that while the others eat turkey. 

- Virgil is part spider and eventually builds up the courage to tell the others. Patton is a little afraid at first, but eventually he’s got all eight legs around him in the best hug with his emo son. He’s still working on looking him in the eyes when more then two are showing...

- Virgil, Remus and Logan don’t need as much sleep as the other Sides. Logan and Virgil only need four hours, while Remus only needs two hours. While Janus likes sleeping as much as possible, which is hard to do with Remus around.

- Janus has stolen every pillow and blanket in the Mindscape and Thomas’ real house JUST to build a pillow fort. At one in the morning. They were all impressed, but also cold so now he has to share when he makes them (at a better time as well please- )

- Janus doesn’t like the feeling of anything on his face or scales; which makes looking after them difficult. He has to be reminded to moisturise them weekly and Remus has learnt not to dump slime or anything over his head because he has had an anxiety attack about it once and he never wants it to happen to him again. 

- Virgil and Janus love scalding hot showers. Patton and Roman like it rather warm, Logan likes them lukewarm and Remus loves them to be freezing cold.

- No touching Virgils hair! No touchie! He hates it and prefers light circles rubbed over the back of his hands or on his knees instead. Roman on the other hand LOVES head scritches and always melts into a Princey puddle of relaxation when he gets them.

- Lastly, if anyone ever has a Nightmare, they either go to Logan or Janus. Patton is too deep of a sleeper to wake up and help, plus he often has no clue what to say anyway, so those two help a lot. And if they have a Nightmare? They go to Remus’ room and talk with him until they pass out or they decide to survive the day on the hours that they had.

A Remus Headcanon That Makes Me Wanna Hug Him

Remus is Intrusive Thoughts, as we all know, but if he ever actually saw a REAL terrible car crash? A REAL dead body? A REAL malformed animal? One of the others REALLY badly hurt?

He’d go into a panic attack because the thoughts were never supposed to be real. They were to stay up in his head, or said with an unnaturally large smile, so that everyone would just stay safe.

Logan’s A Bird Says I

Everyone has a specific animal trait (I have an idea for Roman that i’ll pocket for later and I think Virgil is spider boi) and so I believe Logan is a Crow. This isn’t an analysis or anything; I just think it is since Corvid’s are the one bird species that have puzzle solving skills and that reminds me of Logan.

ANYWAY he completely denies having an animal trait because that’s illogical. People aren’t also an animal/whatever-eldritch-simile-Remus-is! And so he ignores the shoe box at the back of his closet that’s filled with random shiny stuff. He ignores the wings that he sometimes wakes with. He ignores that some of the feathers on said wings are poking out at strange angles and even occasionally hurt- because it shouldn’t be real!

Then Janus and Remus are accepted and everyone starts showing off their traits a little more. Virgil probably even helps Patton get over spiders (as long as they don’t touch him or any of the furniture or his clothes because he stills screams at them but he’s trying) and they help Roman embrace his more too!

With Logan saying that he doesn’t have animal traits. Because human beings don’t have horns, or tails, or frog eyes, tentacles, scales. They are figments of Thomas. Human figments.

Then Janus retorts with Logan being ‘colourblind’ (”its a metaphor, Logan”).

The world the Sides live in are coloured, but Logan sees it differently. Yes, they are part of Thomas. Yes, they are technically human. But they are ALSO magic. They can summon things at will and even shapeshift. Because that is their reality, while Logan keeps comparing himself to Thomas’ reality.

So he has to take off the colourblinding glasses, and see it as a Side’s point of view. He is human, but one who can summon and shapeshift and has an animal trait! That’s the reality. That is the Mindscape’s very own logic.

Two weeks later, Logan walks downstairs with unkempt wings and a handful of broken feathers. He asks for their help with them.

☾ - sleep headcanon★ - sad headcanon☆ - happy headcanon☠ - angry/violent headcanon????

Sleep Headcanon: Roman sleeps curled up and usually holding something in his arms -usually one of the plushes the others have given him- as it helps ground him when he wakes. He often has some confusion in the morning if he’s actually awake or not without it, due to the very lucid dreams that he has.

Sad Headcanon: Both Remus and Roman have developed Touch Starvation after the two stopped hanging around each other. Both of them have yet to tell anyone too.

Happy Headcanon: Virgil often calls Remus his ‘big brother’ in private and once Roman hears of this, he is immediately jealous and strived to become his big brother too. He succeeded. 

Angry/Violent Headcanon: Whenever Logan is ignored during a conversation, he goes back to his room and destroys everything. His desk, his bed, window, laptop, books, he’s flooded his bathroom after destroying the sink... He can clean it up with a snap too, but he prefers doing the majority of it manually as it helps him focus on something else for a while. He doesn’t know that he shares this trait with Janus.
