What do you think about shiny Darkrai and Cresselia?
Already done a while ago here, but it occurs to me that I never reviewed Mega Darkrai as it didn't exist then, so here you go:
Kind of like how mega Darkrai handle's Darkrai's original color palette better imo, shiny mega Darkrai works better to me than regular shiny Darkrai. Both are purple with pink accents, but on regular Darkrai the pink is pretty similar to the red, so shiny and non-shiny end up looking fairly similar. Whereas here, the normally black collar (which turns bright pink upon closing) is light pink when open, making for a pretty noticeable change. Another difference is the optional nerves (legs), which are light pink as well instead of just being black.
The only thing I don't like is the hair; it's been changed to be slightly blue-ish for no real reason, and I think it sticks out a bit too much. And while not bad, it does feel like a missed opportunity that the eye is still pink (both the actual eye and the fake collar eye). I'm not a fan of regular shiny Darkrai's green eye, which doesn't go well with the pinks and purples, but maybe its eye could've been blue here to reflect regular Darkrai's eye.
Overall though, I'd say this is a small improvement over regular Darkrai, even if it has a few small flaws.
