My preference in genre of music has generally changed over the years: pop & country (and really anything in between) as a kid, to discovering the wonder of rock and electric guitars in those teen years. Jazz came in later and is kind of still a love hovering there but there’s just something about that quiet, completely reduced, acoustic sound of folk music that I can’t get away from. Folk has topped the list for a number of years now so I think it’s come to stay!

I find Folk music hard to describe. I’ve tried to read up on it a few times before but it seems it’s just this nebulous mix of anything that is old, traditional-feeling with no real known origin. Lol. Doesn’t say much but whatever it is, contemporary folk has certainly taken the best parts of it to produce beautiful not over-processed sound. More findings to come, hopefully.

“Will Reagan & United Pursuit” have this home-y worship feel. The backup singing makes it feel intimate but somehow still manages to sound coordinated & impressively good.  Also, I love his tone and strings make me happy :)
