Global Run Day Did you run today?! Unfortunately, the only running I’ve done today were errands. Much needed personal day to get personal things DONE! Running has played a significant role in my especially in the last 2years. As a kid, playing sports, running was always a punishment. We ran to condition and it was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! About 2years who, I joined a workout challenge where weekend long runs was part of the program. We ran from 190th st to 125th with our longest run to 72nd. I was beyond surprised and proud I could ever run that distance. Before this just 1mile was an issue. Falling in love with running, the clarity and the euphoria. It was great. Naturally the next step would be committing to a half marathon. 😱 Seriously, the most rewarding and biggest physical accomplishment! Committing to the half led to 25lb weight loss and an enormous transformation. Mentally, I am the strongest I’ve ever been. It takes unbelievable strength, motivation and determination to run 13miles. Grateful for what running has done for me. On this global running day, I encourage you to TRY it! Give it a chance.
