*collapses in accomplished sobbing*
After a year and a half of inner turmoil and self-doubt and hell, I took a deep breath, put my big-girl panties on, and forced myself to continue What I’m (Not) Born to Be. I have to. For me, and for the people who DO like it.
Because there’s more of my story in it than people realize, and I have some old demons to exorcise.

Hello, any readers who read this.
So a lot of people didn’t like Chapter 10 of What I’m (Not) Born to Be, but hopefully the next chapter will be coming soon and it has loads more resolution in it. There’s also going to be a companion piece that talks about events from the omega’s point of view. Soooo, um, yeah.
Welp, I’ve finally come to that point where I’ve clashed with my readers a bit. I’m really glad I posted the reconciliation chapter on the same day as the drama chapter. That said, I still had one reviewer say “this ruined the fic for me” and a bunch of other people say “that seems kind of gratuitous” while the rest said “harsh but understandable.”
Now I’ve got this immense worry that I’ve fucked it all up and lost a lot of readers and just made people want to un-kudos it all because of a scene that’s been planned FROM THE START that actually does have something to do with the plot. Was I foolish for thinking that people would understand it based on what I gave? Should I go back in and have another character explicitly spell out the connotations? What do I do?
