Winchester - (Supernatural / Smallville Crossover AU) - Chapter 4

“I can’t believe I never asked this before but what kind of alien are you?”

You were snacking in the loft with Clark when you brought up the question.

A smile settled on his face. He still had a hard time grasping how easy you seemed to take all this. He had to admit it was nice being out in the open with it.

“I’m Kryptonian.”

Your face lights up.

“Woah, so I was right. I’ll have to ask Gabriel about the lore.”

“Who’s Gabriel?”

“He’s an archangel.”

Of course he is.

At this point he shouldn’t even be surprised.

“Your life seems exciting.”

“I’m not sure exciting is the word I would use. Try unpredictable.”

He supposed that is the appropriate word. When he sees the way your gaze wanders over to the stairs he looks over.

“Everything okay?”

“Yeah, I was just wondering, can I jump in that pile of hay?”

You look excited just at the thought and he smiles.

“Sure, let me just add some extra for cushioning.”

You blink at the familiar rush of wind on your face and you laugh. When you stand he’s standing below and there’s a much bigger stack.

“How’s it look?”

“Awesome Clark, thank you!”

You’re basically sprinting to the small platform, and he stands below, wearing a grin.

“Here goes nothing, Geronimo!!”

Jumping off the small platform, Clark smiles as you await your descent into the pile of hay. At least that was the expectation. A pair of arms caught you and Clark stared at the man that stood, dressed in a trench coat.

“C-Cas!”

You’re surprised.

“Hello (Y/N).”

You can’t help but smile. He places you down on your feet and Clark is still trying to comprehend where Castiel came from.

“Dean told me you were in this town, I never expected there to be a kryptonian here.” His gaze moved to Clark.

“How do you know that I’m-”

“He’s an angel.”

At this point he thinks he should just assume all your friends are angels.

He wonders if he’s imagining the glare on Castiel’s face. You take notice, raising a brow.

“Castiel everything okay?”

“Yes. Sam and Dean asked me to check in on you. Also Dean told me to threaten the lumberjack to look after you.” Castiel’s eyes hardened as he drew his angel blade.

“Protect her or else.”

“Cas!!”

“Yes.”

He casually placed the blade back in his coat and you just sigh. You should expect nothing less. Castiel is as close to you as a brother and as protective as one. Gabriel is the same way, but his personality is a lot less stab first, ask questions later.

You place your hand on Castiel’s shoulder and he finally stops sending death stares at Clark who’s awkwardly at the side.

“Thanks for looking out for me.”

His expression softens and he nods. Now he looks more like an obedient puppy and less like a secret service agent. He places his hand on top of your head, giving you a pat. When he looks at you it’s a bit different.

“Your grace, it feels stronger.”

That catches you a bit off guard.

“Really, I don’t feel any different.”

He doesn’t see any issues, so he figures there’s no need for alarm.

“It could be the fragments in this city heightening your senses. I can’t see an issue, you should be fine.”

You’re relieved.

“I’m glad that you’re okay, if you need anything-”

“I’ll be sure to call.”

He seems a bit more relaxed. Pulling his hand away, he sends a glance in Clark’s direction before he’s gone with the flapping of wings. Clark's eyes darted around the room.

“I’m not sure if I’ll get used to that.”

You just smile at him.

Hotch: what did you do ?

Winchester!Reader: what did I not do is the question.

Hotch: you have three stab wounds!

Winchester!Reader: three? Oh pft that’s child’s play

Y/n: with stiles it’s always “Lydia Lydia Lydia-”

Isaac: can’t relate because for me it’s always “you you you.”

Y/n: You? That’s a stupid name …

Isaac: … I don’t know why I like you.

Y/n: maybe it’s because of the name -

Stiles: okay so one of us has to be here with a chance of getting eaten while the other goes to find what we need

Scott: *looks at reader and places a fist in the palm of his other hand*

Winchester!Reader: *looks at Scott and places a fist in the palm of their other hand*

Stiles: what are you two-

Scott and Winchester!Reader: Rock, paper, scissors

Dean: 😐

Sam: well it’s not me

Y/n: OKAY SO WHAT IF LYDIA MARTIN LOOKS KISSABLE!? I’LL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT -

“Listen Dean-” She spoke up but was soon cut off by her lovely, yet strict, brother as they strolled up to the high school

“What did I say?” He looked at her once he parked giving her a stare down as she rolled her eye before gesturing towards Sam to say something but he just gave her a shrug making her roll her eyes “Always carry a weapon, don’t accept drinks from anyone, and stay alert—“

“And?-” his tone shifted making her look at him unamused

“Never accept candy from a stranger?” She said plainly making her other older brother Sam laugh in which caused Dean to roll his eyes

”haha funny, you know what I mean-“

“Yeah no, I’m gonna be late” She scoffed as she gathered her things and opening the door, she knew what he meant but she wasn’t going to say it, she wasn’t 15 anymore.

“What he means is that we just want you to be as safe as possible being away from us” Sam spoke up before Dean had a chance to rant again, looking back at her with a small smile

”I know and I will be…you gotta trust me if I’m staying here by myself okay?” She looked towards Dean more than Sam, she knows Sam cares about her just as much as Dean but clearly one of them is hesitant to let her go alone, that much was evident

After a long pause Dean let out a sigh “Fine, but remember -”

“To call I know…” She smiled at him making him give her a small one in return nodding as he did

“I’ll be safe I promise…”

“Good…”

After speaking with the boys a little longer she managed to finally escape the car and into the school and as you probably guessed it she was a little late, though oddly enough she remembers the school layout from years ago, she eventually finds the classroom and walked in with a smile not noticing her two best friends nearly shooting up from their seats when she was introduced

“Ah miss Warren, first day back and you’re still late…”

Stiles and Scott looked at each other in shock before looking forward back at her, their best friend was back???
