Thank you for the prompts! :D I decided to do them in one since they sort of fit together.

Llevura returned to her small temporary living space in the Hollow City after yet another day of traversing Coldharbour in search of scattered Mundials in need of rescue. "Living space" was really an overstatement. It was a bed and a trunk in a room full of other beds and trunks separated by dividers. But she was not unused to living with others, and it was right for her as the hero to be living among those who were supposed to be looking to her for hope. Still, she was glad that the others were either sleeping or away right now.
It still felt so strange to serve in a hero's role, even days—or had it been weeks now?—after arriving in Coldharbour. People looked to her for their only chance at survival, and she had no one to look to. Her gods could not reach her here. Almalexia had said so herself, though she had sworn her to secrecy on that matter. The Dunmer had to think their gods were watching over them and protecting them from harm, lest they lose faith. Even the non-Dunmer needed to believe that the Dunmeri god-kings knew no limits. But it wasn't true. As far as Llevura understood it, there was something about the nature of Oblivion that prevented the Tribunal's sight and influence from reaching them. She was alone. Her gods could not watch over her, hear her prayers, send her messengers or influence the events around her. She could only take the blessings they had bestowed upon her before she left Nirn.
She had thought she could manage—she had told herself that much, anyway, because what other choice did she have? But how could one simple Hand act on behalf of the whole Tribunal? She was not a god. She could not understand their will well enough to act on their behalf without guidance. Already she had had to make so many decisions without knowing what the right choice was. But when she reached out to her gods for help on instinct, she felt only emptiness.
She missed the security of her gods' presence. How could she be expected to go up against a Daedric Prince without them? Was it even acceptable to be acting as Meridia's champion as well? (And speaking of Meridia, she had her suspicions about that Groundskeeper.) She needed to speak with her gods, wanted their guidance more than anything right now.
She had an idea, but she knew it was a long shot. Consecrated shrines could be used on Nirn to contact Daedra even when it was hard to establish a connection otherwise. If she was lucky—and truly, luck was all she could rely on in this case—maybe the same method could be used to contact Mundial gods from a Daedric plane. Sure, it would not allow them to follow her or hear her moment-to-moment prayers, but maybe she could communicate with them in a limited capacity. Maybe she could at least get a message out, a progress report, something.
She had spoken with a priest and managed to acquire the components needed for the consecration. The priest had offered to do the consecration himself, but Llevura refused. If the ritual failed, he would despair, and she could not have that. This was her task alone.
She laid out a cloth over her trunk. This was not going to be a glamorous shrine, but nothing about Coldharbour was glamorous. She laid out the components, burned the offerings and spoke the words in order according to her prayer book. She had performed a couple consecrations in the past, but she was no priest. She needed to be sure she was doing this perfectly.
When the ritual was complete, she reached out for her gods. Something felt different. Whether it was truly the Tribunal's presence, or just the smells of home mixed with the power of suggestion, she could not say.
She closed her eyes and began to speak to her gods, to update them on everything that had happened so far, to get all of her thoughts and worries off her chest. When she was done, she sat in silence, waiting, feeling. She heard nothing in response, and received no projected messenger. She would have to rely on hope that the prayer reached them.
But there was hope now. And if nothing else, she was practicing what she would say when she got home. She spoke the words of conclusion and extinguished the offerings. She knew she would still be alone for the most part, but now there was hope, and the weight of the emptiness was lightened, if only a little bit.
Asks coming your way! For the micro story one: 5,17,47 for whoever you find best fitting! And for ABCs of you OCs: A 1-5 for Talvini and for Ildari F1 and F4!
:D I’ve done the question part, and I’ll post the stories separately.
(from these questions)
For Talvini:
A: Aptitude
1. what are your oc’s natural abilities, things they’ve been doing since young?
Magic. She grew up in Sadrith Mora as a member of House Telvanni by birth (like a lay member, although she does eventually reach a you-get-a-mushroom rank by doing things like cutting Molag Bal in half, and traversing planes of Oblivion via the Crystal Tower). So she's had magical training since she was very young and it's always come naturally to her—though it's likely that that's just from experience and early training.
2. what activities have they participated in?
This is so broad...Story-wise she does the main ESO quest and the Daedric Triad arc at least, possibly Greymoor but I think she's mostly off doing research by then and figures Milia can handle it.
3. what abilities do they have that they’ve worked for?
Magic falls into this category too because even if you have a natural ability to harness magicka relatively well, it still takes a lot of work to actually develop skill in using and understanding magic, and she does put a ton of work into it. She has also put a lot of study into Dwemer machines (and eventually what Sotha Sil-style clockwork stuff she can manage to study), so she has an understanding of magical-mechanics and some amount of soul magic. She also had to learn more destruction and defensive alteration magic than she would have otherwise, in order to defend herself in Dwemer ruins (which she often explores on her own in search of parts and information).
4. what things are they bad at?
She's not great at physical combat. Which is mostly fine with her because she has her magic, but if she were ever silenced or her magic were otherwise compromised in a fight, that would be a problem. She's also autistic so she struggles with social stuff.
5. what is their most impressive talent?
Does the fact that she's one of my better dps despite being a non-pet sorc count? But really probably the amount of magico-mechanical stuff she's managed to figure out largely on her own.
For Ildari:
F: Fun
1. what do they do for fun?
I do think she loves doing magic research, but it is still her job (at least, depending on the time period), and I'm sure she does other things when she needs a break. Honestly she probably likes going for walks, but then that's not so much "fun" as like, a way to occupy oneself or take a break from other things. She likes to read for sure. She doesn't have a ton of friends to hang out with honestly—she was kind of a nerd growing up and then after the whole Nerevarine business she's in a sort of weird place. And she's not so much into like ritual combat or anything. And we know little about TES sport ball and whether she'd be into it. But I guess research, reading, and maybe like going for walks or whatever are her things.
4. can they have fun while conforming to rules?
Sure, she's a relatively chill person overall, so she doesn't like go kill people for fun. (She was part of the Morag Tong for a bit during the events of Morrowind, but that was a job.)
Mor'Ajwin got himself into a big mess once and intrrupted a daedric ritual to Mephala by stealing jewels from her altar during the very sacrifice. She didn't appreciate that; and since she enjoys mercilessly trolling mortals, she went "Oh you like snakes? Let's make you into one then!" Now he's a catsnek with a snake tail, venomous fangs, split tongue and a cobra hood behind his ears. [Hope you feel better soon!! ~Wind-Guide-us]
That definitely sounds like quite the conundrum and that response is so in character for Mephala wow but on the bright side his new additions sound awesome!!! Even if I’m sure they’re a little unsettling to most people... he seems like a really really interesting character!!! <333
