The voyage of the first airship, given the name Compass, set sail with seven key figureheads, two hundred knights, and two hundred staff. The goal was simple; Reestablish contact with the city of Umbros after it had vanished in the wake of the Demonic War. Divination from Gaianyx's word placed it somewhere on another continent, far past the oceans surrounding the main continent. Within a few years, the airship returned with shocking, but thankfully non-vital structural damage. What was far more harrowing was the absence of all but two of its crew. A series of wildlife and demon attacks had whittled down the crew, with the Navigator attempting to capitalize on the slow decay of the vessel's population to steal its power source for himself. Prince Boreas, though missing his eye and requiring a cane as his foot had been injured, survived to the relief of his fiance and parents. For a while, people were unable to recognize that the young man in captain's armor was in fact its owner. He had barely reacted to much of the news about the kingdom's happenings when he was gone. Even the death of his father in his absence only barely broke his stony visage. His eyes were too weary and bitter, his presence far too heavy and sullen, to be the young captain Windallus Hurrinade.
