Traitor Lord and his daughter

So I saw in your HK Sitcom Au blog that you interpret Traitor Lord a sthe one who had his daughter killed. That’s fine; it’s never said how she died… but If it’s quite all right, I’d like to express my theory on the matter.

The statue of the Traitor Lord in the Hall of Gods refers to him as the “treacherous god of anger”. Treachery we know, but why would he be angry? Perhaps over the death of his daughter?

The Traitor’s daughter is buried in the Queen’s Gardens, which is Hallownest territory, right? The Mantises and Hallownest are said to “have no love for each other”, so why would they bury her there? Unless the Traitor Lord did himself.

Why would he have his daughter killed? That’s his bloodline. Besides, there’s no rules against being in love with an outsider. When she came clean to the Lords, the Traitor Lord was fine with it. After all, he was the only male on the council; what’s wrong with being different?

The three sisters, however, did not agree. It would be three against one, and since majority wins… his daughter was executed, and maybe she wasn’t going to even get a burial, or she did, and she was called the “Traitor’s daughter” because of how the Traitor Lord “betrayed” the council. Her death would anger him; how is his fair? They overruled him simply because they always think the same, do the same?

The Mantis Lords are the enemy he wanted power to take down. He is a male mantis; he could not outpower them. However, he saw the infection and wanted that power for his own. His followers, old and new, either wanted the power for themselves (new) or wanted the power to avenge the daughter (old). as we know, they were banished… but he took his daughter’s body with him, and buried her in the queen’s gardens, through a passageway of thorns, where nobody could harm her any longer…

This is my theory that I wanted to share. If you have any thoughts about it, or see any holes in them, I would much appreciate it.

interesting theory. tbh i always just thought the traitor lord wanted to become more powerful and decided to use the infection to do so and the other mantises disagreed so they banished him and his daughter just followed because she had to.

imagine four animation students in a studio sitting around a laptop bawling their eyes out, this is what happened today after we finished watching the adventure time finale

.....it just hit me that my dad told me I was unattractive because I have short hair, wear pants and speaks loudly

I finally bought a switch and I'm replaying hollow knight. If I disappear for days on end you know why

im suddenly reminded of my dream last night. there was this woman. she was in this plastic bag kinda like those bags when you buy fish only the water was brown and she was bald and naked and in the water was like the placenta and her child still half grown floating in the water her skin was like pale and the blue of her veins were showing through hand the entire bag was placed inside a deep fryer like the ones for french fries at mcdonalds and she was screaming and crying for her dad and then the scene kinda like zooms out and there's like a communal shower right next to the deep fryer and another naked lady just casually walks towards it and takes a shower 

yeap

btw the backdrop to this is that there's an apocalypse and people have mutated into monsters and the woman taking the shower is like the leader of the a human stronghold which is kinda like a hospital/prison kinda deal and there's a cult in there?

in any case, people sacrifice themselves to an eldritch god and the leader is his favoured so she can choose who dies and of the people you could choose like there was this one curly haired woman who said she’d be honoured to be chosen or something 

also the context of the entire thing is a flash game i found recommended on the back of a comic magazine thing with a link to the website of the game and the leader lady is the person you play as

basically the entire game is kinda like those visual novels where you choose which part of the prison/hospital you wanna spend time in and what you wanna do and manage your resources 

and at some point i chose to check on the defences and some monsters got through and i just was trying to trap them so i had like a few of them fall into meat grinders and shit or like a revolving door of blades slicing them up as they went through. the monsters mostly looked like weird purple flesh things, imagine a huge rectangular block made of flesh with two more slightly smaller rectangular blocks sticking out of it as legs

and at some point there was like a clear plastic bag or liquid which was brown and had like flesh floating in it and for some reason like had cartoon eyes and a cartoon mouth floating in there too and it was still alive

but in any case the lady you play is is not a nice person and during that shower scene after the ‘camera’ pans from the naked pregnant lady to the leader lady showering there was an internal commentary which sounded like a youtuber video essay voice suddenly said ‘ah yes the infamous shower scene, many young men looked forward to this though it caused much controversy due to the nudity and rotoscoping of the actress’ body’

so yeah my dream
