Scammers
Scammers
By Doctor Pessimist
Criminals have been scamming people for far too long. I know you’d think someone like me would condone their behaviour, but you would be wrong. First off: I do not desire money, as I am technically a mutant, and can use my mind powers to control people’s moods. Secondly: It is Manic Minion that wishes for money, but he does not believe in scamming others using these sickening acts of theft. Thirdly: Both my assistant and I have been harassed by scammers, too, so for the time being, we are on the same side as the people.
One way scammers catch their prey is by email. No doubt you may have seen an email where you have won an imaginary prize, a Nigerian prince needs to find his money, or someone pretends that there is some strange activity on your PayPal account. These are easy to rule out, as you can grammar and spell-check the emails, cross reference with people online, and even block said emails. Yet, the scammers keep emailing, for they are still likely to get someone.
Another infamous scam going around is the “Windows” scam. Someone most likely from India pretends to be calling you from Windows. They insist that your computer is infected with malware, and they guide you how to fix it. To do this, they trick you into being able to control your machine, after you download something. They fleece you by taking a lot of your money, and may even do some damage to your machine. Please do not fall for these scams and watch numerous YouTube videos on them. Or, troll them like Manic Minion does, and give them breakdowns.
I have personally added Scammers on my list of reasons why I must conquer this planet.
Stay negative.
